Well I see so many comments here from people who think prisoners have a great time in prison, I wonder why they don't do something to get a long sentence.
What would you dislike about prison, if you wouldn't enjoy going?

A total nightmare. I know a lad who was put away for 6 months. He has never seemed quite right since. He always looks sad. I'm sure it wasn't easy for him.

I always imagine it being a bit like a very bad school. The bullies get to do what they want to you.

I would hate it, but I would be absolutely fascinated to find out about the 'secret world' that undoubtedly exists away from the prying eyes of the prison guards, I worked in a children's home and it was so celar that stuff went on that we were never aware of and couldn't understand as staff, I would be really interested to be a part of a community like that, and find out about how it 'really' works!
I think the bit I would find hardest would be not being able to go outside

the hardest and the most painful part for me would not being able to be with families and friends. People lose respect for you and give you the label of a "bad person", once you get out. And the sad part, it's hard to redeem yourself in the eyes of the world. Apparently, by today's standards, humans are judged on what one specific thing they do and not on how they try fixing their mistakes or choices. Then again, majority of us don't take responsibility for their actions.

I would hate it, being locked up 22 hrs a day, bad food, not being able to even wash in peace.
Not being able to see your friends or family, and fighting for any respect.
I don't think anyone can say prisons are holiday camps, are they saying this from personal experience or just what they think it is like.

You definitely would not enjoy it. Even for a week, you'll be dealing with people who think differently because half of them have nothing to lose. Doesn't matter who you are outside, as soon as you are locked up you have to fend for yourself all the time.

I am going to answer this with a quote from George Harrison...

"Give me love,Give me peace on earth,Give me life,Give me light, keep me free from birth..."

You lose everything when you lose your freedom!
