We were not initially created to endure pain. This was not God's will -- pain is a result of sin in the world.
Everything God made is good and He is full of mercy. He is holding everything together - without Him allowing it - you wouldn't take another breath.

God did many good things for us all. He made all the cute and fuzzy animals. I'm sure you could find out more if you just read the Bible.
