I stopped drinking alcohol six months ago as it had become a bit of a problem! I missed the bitter taste as I don't have a sweet tooth, but found the following a good substitute:
Mixing elderflower cordial with tonic or perrier.
Any of the sparkling grape juice drinks that you can get from supermarkets.
Grapefruit juice with tonic or sparkling water.
Use a nice wine glass and you don't feel like you are missing out - plus you don't make an idiot of yourself, don't get a hangover, and get to see how silly drunken people act and to thank the Lord you are not one of them.

Try a Bloody Shame. All the ingredients of a Bloody Mary...minus the Vodka. Also known as a Virgin Mary but I prefer the first name.
ie:
Tomato Juice.
Celery Salt.
A stick of celery.
A dash of Tabasco.
A dash of Worcestershire Sauce.
You can also try my secret recipe which is to add a few drops of olive oil and lemon juice too..
Delicious.
Oh and put some ice in if you want. Some don't.

A garnish on any drink makes it a cocktail! A toothpick, a cherry, a piece of pineapple or orange and you've got a fun cocktail of milk, water, or soda.
My personal favorite is gingerale with raspberry sorbet or sherbert. Grenadine and 7-up is a Shirley Temple. Most mixed drinks also have 'virgin' variations.

Ginger-ale and grape-juice, half and half, plenty of ice and a sprig of mint. If you're dealing with a punch-bowl amount, make a tray of lemonade ice-cubes and substitute cranberry juice for the grape-juice... I once got trapped at a Baptist wedding reception and found myself scarfing up a punch that included globs of sherbet bobbing around in ginger-ale, pineapple juice & lemon soda...hint: put a big chunk of ice in the punch-bowl and mix the ingredients together before pouring into the bowl...sherbet globs go in at the last minute before the fray begins. Heal fast, kiddo!

I appreciate your problem, you can only drink so many fruit juices and it works out even more expensive than alcohol.
Try a Rock Shandy,South African drink, half lemonade, half soda with a dash of Angosduras Bitters (not sure about the spelling)

Many cocktails can be made without alcohol and taste quite nice. If you here someone order a cocktail "virgin" that means without alcohol.
So try your favorite without the booze.
