I'm lucky in that the school-year daycare is run by the same wonderful woman as the summer camp at a local church. So my daughter goes there. It's packed full of activities - something new every day. She has been looking forward to it all year.

And the best part? It's not really camp. I pick her up every night after work and never have to be without her. :)

I am dad with custody of my kids. My daughter went to spend time with my ex-wife's grandparents for 4 weeks this summer and I have enrolled my son in summer camp. He goes for most of the day. My brother works there so he picks up my son and stays with him until I get home. Summer camp is great for him he gets to play with kids his age and goes on field trips and all that good stuff.

In the summer my niece goes to summer camp, it starts the last week if June and doesn't end til August. I drop her off at 9 am and pick her up at 4pm, from Monday thru Friday. They do activities, learn, take trips to the zoo, pool, museums, etc..They feed her breakfast, lunch & snack...Hope you find something...

you can go on a trip together, or you can find way to do things without having to send your children to camp, or let the babysitter keep them and tell you get back. spending as much time with your children would kill you as much as you think it would. you can send your children with your next door nabor and see what they are up to and if they or going on a trip some where fun then let them go with there best friend or someone you really trust, or just send them to grandma's house for the summer.

I had an older lady come to my home and watch them for me and she was very good and sometimes she brought her grands with her so my kids would have someone to play with . So maybe that would be the answer for you . good luck .
