What is and easy way to make a simple pony tail stylish?

I can't keep my hair down because it looks really bad because it just "poofs". I always have my hair in a pony tail and I'm sick of a boring old pony. What are some ways I can make it cool and stylish?

One thing you can do would be when you put your hair up into a pony tail, leave a small lock out of the rubber band; twist the lock around your ponytail holder - to keep it in place, secure it with a bobby pin under your pony tail where no one can see it. This looks cool because its like your hair is holding up your hair...

You can always do a braid/ french braid/ or a fishtail instead of a pony tail

Another fun thing is twisting your hair:
let your hair down and separate it in half. Get the half you aren't working with out of the way. On the other side, take a somewhat small lock that is closer to your face (always start by your face and work towards the back of your head) and twist it with your fingers in a certain direction. Take about the same amount of hair under that twisted piece and twist it as well- then take the second piece you've twisted and combine the two of them by twisting together- keep doing this until the entire half of your hair is twisted together. Have someone hold this half and repeat it all on the other side that you left out of the way. when all of your hair is twisted it looks pretty cool- you can put it in a pony tail, or a bun, or what ever you want to :)

take some hair from the bottom of the pony tail and wrap it around your elastic pony tail holder, then secure it with a bobby-pin underneath. you may need some light hairspray to smooth down the wrap depending on your hair length. you don't have to make your ponytail "tight" to do this...you can leave it loose with some strands of hair down around your face. it's a nice look for anything...you can dress it up or down.

Put your pony tail high on your head and use the curling iron to create curls. Leave just a pinch of hair out at each temple and curl that, too.

A slightly messy pony tail appeals to me, like a few strands of hair set loose. Extremely neat ones look unnatural. You could also try loose curls.

Take a strand of hair from the ponytail and wrap it around the hairband to hide it, then secure it with a couple of hair pins. Curl the end of your ponytail to make it a lil bouncy, and use anti-frizz hair serum for better results.

Get bangs! They're so cool and trendy, you can gel them, straighten them, sweep them to one side, add volume to them with hairspray, pull them back and pin them in place etc. Besides they grow out real fast so you can re-style them frequently. They really make a ponytail look chic.

Do u haf thick hair?
If yes, u can try curling ur hair FIRST, den tie it into a high bun leaving some curls dangling down.
Then u can add a glittery or elegant flower clip on the side of da bun to create a pretty look! :D

What you need:
About two bobby pens and a hair tie and hair. lol.

What to do:
Put hair in poney tail leaving the pieces of your hair at the bottem of the head (closest the being on the neck) out. after you hair is in the poney tail and the pieces of hair at the bottem are hanging there, rap them around the poney tail and bobby pin them there. It looks adorable.

extra's: you can put a flower in your hair with it...part hair on side.

theres a tool you can buy from scunci callec the topsy tail and you can flip your pony into itsef(if that makes sense) but its really cool. It comes in a kit you can buy and its all stuff to style ponytails. Hope this helps

A pink or white ribbon is hot.Or the same color of your dress or blouse.Let it hang about6-8 inches .and put it over the rubber band.They have some hot hair ties,I really dont like scrunches they look cooler on your wrist

i have a good idea...make your ponytail when your hair is wet..you can slick it back..when it drys it will be smoothe and not poofy..you can put a ponytail holder in your hair...or a flower one to the side..you can twist your ponytail around and pin it for the messy bun...cvs has great hair accessories...and so does Claires...they have all kinds of stuff! hope this helps you out!
