My hair is wavy and I'm a brunette and I'm thinking about doing something different to my hair. I'm thinking somewhere along the lines of long layers with a v-shape in the back. The length of my hair is about waist-length and I don't want to take away much of the length because I like my hair long. The shape of my face is oval. I want to make sure that whatever hairstyle I get, it looks great on wavy hair but also looks great on straight hair because I straighten my hair occasionally. If you need any extra details, let me know and I will add whatever you need to know to help me figure this out.

Please let me know which haircut would work best with my hair. Thank you.

sounds like it will be nice. angle it around the face from a little lower than the chin(it will shrink) and take it into the v. don't start the layers above the start of the angle. some products, and you will have many new looks. remember layers will and more bounce and help it to curl more

your hair sounds really pretty. What is your face shape? I have poker straight hair... not quite waist length but long. I have a friend with wavy hair and she just got it layered. It looks really nice. I'd say definitely get 2 or three layers and maybe some side fringe/side bangs around the face, but don't part it straight down the middle. Make sure you "sidebangs" go mostly to one side or the other.

I have very thick and very wavy hair, i hate it, its not curly and not straight, i have to straighten all the time just to have it manegeable. Then its smooth and straight, but since its wavy and long my sons aunt cut my hair in a lot of layers so when i don't straighten it it looks almost curly, i love it now, and i just got it highlighted for the summer! good luck

well that depends on you.. I had the same question you're posting now, so I decided to do a little bit of research and I was not getting any results so I gave up on it and let it grow some more then boom one night I happend to see Miami Ink and I seen Kat and I saw her hair and it was perfect style for me and I went and got it and oh my god it looks so good ... then later on .. I find out Kat has hair extenstions to her short hair.. I almost choked on my soda when I found out it was a fake but it was a real good one though. Looks good on her but mine's the real deal. Let me know how it goes..

get an even solid cut..no layers...they make it too poofy...and they take away from your natural wave...ask the hair dresser to slice your hair..thats when they take the scissors and create definition by sliding the scissors down..it takes off a small amount of hair and helps to remove bulk..it also grows out nicely....layers are not always the answer hope this helps

i think you should get layers! i have my hair in layers in the back and i really like it! if you want your hair to still be long, try cutting maybe 2 or 3 inches off. good luck!

I think long, black/dark brown, layered, wavy hair looks so pretty.
