It is only a piercing, can't you wait until your 16? You may hurt you parents feelings if you go behind their backs. No i doesn't hurt. There's more of a chance of your ears getting infected if you get it pierced with a gun, it's best to get it done with a needle (scary i know) but it really doesn't hurt, for a split second it hurts a tiny bit but then the ear goes numb. Gok Wan has stretched ear lobes, so unless your planning to stretch your ears, i'd go for the stud. Good luck on whatever you decide.

It's called a tragus. And like any cartiledge piercing, it hurt a bit more than piercings through regular flesh. It's not too thick. It's pierced through routinely. But it's a tricky one to heal. Do some research.

I think you are refering to the tragus.

And all piercings hurt, its just something that goes along with the process. How bad it will hurt will vary greatly from person to person based on individual tolerance to pain.
There is probably no reason that the tragus would be too thick to pierce. It is however important to go to a reputable professional piercer who will give you a very appropriate sized jewelry to account for your anatomy.
Check out safepiercing.org for information and to find local reputable piercers. Good luck

its called a tragus, and its no different to having the cartilage at the top of your ear pierced and is treated the same when healing, its a little tougheer than having your lobes pierced, obviously, you will be able to feel the difference yourself, roll it between your thumb and fore finger-see? it will be over in seconds, but does have a longer healing period than lobes. no more difficult to look after than any other piercing. Good luck

That's called a tragus piercing. It'll probably hurt a bit, most piercings do, but I doubt it'll be anything unbearable. Google "Tragus piercing" and visit www.bmezine.com they have lots of piercing and after care information, plus pictures and stories.

That is a tragus piercing. I just got mine pierced two weeks ago. I'm not going to lie to you, yes it pretty sore. Give it a good week to stop hurting. I love it though and I'm glad I got it done.

its a tregus ( i cant spell it ) the good thing about piercings is they only hurt for a minute... make sure that you get it pierced with a needle NOTone of those stupid piercing guns, youll heal out much quicker and needles are sterile just make sure you dont go knocking you fresh piercing with the phone and youll be fine

It's a needle going through skin. It will hurt. ;)
However, I have a friend that had both of her traguses done. She said it just basically popped through and didn't hurt that much. Felt like a tiny pinch.
Everyone is different. It always depends on your pain threshold.
