I have a friend who is 21. I am 16. We have known each other since High school and we are really fond of each other. Last summer he called me up and told me that he was going to the army. I was so hurt that i didn't know what to do. Around December he came home to visit and we had sex. I got pregnant but he thinks i should have an abortion b/c he is not ready to have a relationship with me or have a child, but yet he tells me every day he wants to marry me. What Do I Do?

okay i am on eof those people who r really against abortion so listen up. if this dude isnt ready for a relationship like a kid doesnt mean you go out and kill your own child does it he can wait or you can go out there and find someone who will take care of you and your kid but just don't kill that kid i read this poem in a christain magazine and it was about abortion and i wish i still had it to show you because i think it would make a big difference in your decision

First you tell your parents.
So they can bring up statutory rape against him because you are underage, and then the army can throw him out with a dishonorable discharge, if they don't throw him in jail themselves.
Second, this boy does not want to marry you. He doesn't even want to take responsibility for his actions by having sex with you, he wants you to kill the baby.
Do you really want to marry someone like that?
Either way, this man won't be around. He's going to leave you or end up in jail.
Talk to your parents, they can help you make the best decision. Since they will end up paying for it either way, you might as well include them in the decision. You are not capable of raising this child, and neither is he by his own admission. The only other people who might consider it, is your parents.

don't have an abortion, that would be the worst thing in the world. no offense but you opened your legs. its your fault as well as his. don't punish a child's life for something stupid. you can always give the child up for adoption and tell the adoption agency that you would want the child to contact you when it is older. i was pregnant once but this guy that i was with was so forceful made me lose it. my child died, and you have no clue how that just rips at your soul. if you don't want that precious life then let some deserving family that can't have children take care of it.

Well, it is obvious that he does not want to marry you. He cant even step up & be a man about what he created. You are old enough to know what protection is, and so is he. You should of thought about him being 21, he wants to party, go out, meet new people, not stay at home with a 16 year old and a baby. So honestly, for the better of you, i say get rid of him..
Now as for the baby, you should keep it.
Because my father told my mom to abort me, and she said every day she thanked God she didn't.
Your baby is apart of you.. keep it.

Well, number one, that boy belongs in JAIL because that's statutory rape. A 21 year old MAN has no business sleeping with a 16 year old CHILD. You are still a minor, and he should know better. Don't by the lines he's feeding you. You are MUCH better off without him.

Wake up!!! He wanted sex and he got it. Now you are stuck with a pregnancy that he wants no part of. Hopefully you have family to help you thru this. Good Luck.

don't have an abortion. just because you two might have made a mistake, doesn't mean the baby should suffer for it. the baby did nothing wrong. the least you could do is put it up for adoption. we don't have the right to take a life into our own hands. please, make the right decision. don't be haunted later in life, knowing you killed your baby.......
