and of course I was dropping my son off on a side street where the curb is marked red...was she video taping us so she can send us a ticket? And if so, How can I contest it since there is virtually NO parking or drop off sites available for the school? (we live in a highly populated area of southern CA) The school recently decided there would be no drop off at another location of the school where I normally dropped him off previously...

We live in the next district over, but he's been in this school district since elementary...too far to walk, no school buses near our house, just the city bus, which he takes on the way home often, but it's unrelieable in the AM

We actually had a kid and his mother get killed before the school did anything about the "drop off" situation.

I don't' think that the meter maid can ticket you for doing that - but call the courthouse to be sure.

Then do the same thing she is doing - make a video tape - showing the unsafe manner in which you have to drop off your children - research the internet for accidents that occurred in school zones - and go to your city council meeting and demand that changes be made, before someone gets injured or worst yet -killed.

She's doing her job. It's not her problem that there are no places to drop kids off. Talk to your city about the problem.

If there was no ticket on the car, then you won't be getting it. Parking tickets must be given to you directly, or put on the car.

Why do you drop him off? Why is he not taking the bus or walking.
