that seems to be the one of the justification for immigrating illegally, little do they know that before the southwest was a part of Mexico is was part of Spain and before then it belong to the amerindians of the US not of Mexico

Guatemalans could use the same justification to migrate illegally into Mexico because the Mexican state of Chiapas was once part of Guatemala yet you dont hear them claim a 'Reconquista'. Also since the southwest belong to Spain before Mexico why dont they too claim a Recoquista. I tell you why because such idealogy is just plain ridiculous

i agree. if we give this land to anyone. it needs to go back to the Native Americans. mexico also stole land from them. and I'm sick of hearing them compare them self's to the Native Americans. there is a big difference between the two.

@Mr Best

Mexicans are basically Native Americans and the Aztec migrated from the American southwest of what is now part of the United States of America. Look up Uto-Aztecan.

Uto-Aztecan or Uto-Aztekan /ˈjuːtoʊ.æzˈtɛkən/ is a Native American language family consisting of over 30 languages. Uto-Aztecan languages are found almost entirely in the Western United States and Mexico. The name of the language family was given to show that it joins the Ute language of Utah (also named for the Ute people) and the Aztecan languages of Mexico. Classical Nahuatl, the language of the Aztecs, and its modern relatives are part of the Uto-Aztecan family. The Pipil language, an offshoot of Nahuatl, spread to Central America by a wave of migration from Mexico, formerly had many speakers there.

Actually most of Central America belongs to Mexico. Mexico lost 1/3 of its Norther border and most of Central America. Panama belongs to Colombia.

Did anyone consider the fact that we are only residing on this earth and do not own anything, why is that americans believe that the us belongs to only them? That is totally wrong. I am a canadian and there are many different varities of cultures here, I have no more of a right then anyone else. Americans need to open their minds and their hearts.

It's the same reason my neighbor parks his boat in my yard. "Well, my yard is too small,so I have to park it there" And that's the reason I have towed it away a half dozen times and left it in the middle of the street somewhere. They assume that if they flood the region, then it must be theirs, right? The rightful owners of that land wouldn't kick them out would they? Because after all, mexico's land is too small........

Right...

It is just an excuse they use for being here illegally. In their own minds, it gives legitimacy to their illegal, "sucking of the system" lifestyle. It is all about, no matter how much they complain, they have it better here than at home. If this weren't true, they wouldn't be here.

Because our theiving ancestors stole the land from them just as they stole the rest of it from the native Americans. If someone came and stole you home from you, you would be pissed off too
