Not just beef but lamb etc...?
Q #2: What are your religions dietary laws?

Yes, the question belongs here, some ppl have religions that are very specific as to what can go in their bodies.

---------
By the way, I saw some new brand of beef on TV the other day. It is made in the panhandle of TX and is supposed to be certified 'grass fed' --I guess it is some new thing. Plus, meat is much more healthy when it comes from an animal that was fed grass. They said it was going to be sold in Tom Thumb...don't know how far out they will be distributing it if any one is interested.

It is a great sin to kill a cow or eat a cow or cause any harm to a cow. Why? because cows are Gods favorite animals. The karma for all other animals is a life for a life but for a cow it is as many hairs on the body of the cow one will have to come back and be killed. Don't eat cows. It is a great sin even Jesus said in the original new testament Commandment #4 Ye shall not eat the flesh nor drink the blood of any slaughtered creature, nor yet anything which brings disorder to your health or senses." But you wouldn't know this because king Constantine took out everything to do with vegetarianism from the bible, because Constantine was a big meat eater and he said any one who proclaimed Vegetarianism would have molten lead pored down their throats. He killed one of his wives that way for this. He's no Christan yet all Christians are following his bible. For the original New Testament before king Constantine added and omitted whatever he wanted go to- gospelofthenazirenes.com The Truth will set you free. Also in the old testament which he forgot to take out. Isaiah 66:3" To killeth an ox is as if to slew a man." An ox is a male cow." It is even in your bible, but who is following. Jesus said "Go and sin no more." that is a simple enough instruction. but instead they choose to keep him hanging on the cross. Take him down and stop eating innocent animal flesh, it is abominable.

Yea, I saw that article too. Grass fed beef is supposed to be less acidic, or something like that, since cows do not digest corn as easily as grass, so the stomachs of exclusively grass fed cows produce less acid.

It is more of a health issue than a religious issue to Christians, since Jesus, Peter & Paul said that Christians don't have to keep the dietary laws of Moses anymore.

Texas already produces the best beef in the nation, so I'm guessing these grass-fed ones are going to be pretty great.

I don't eat a whole lot of meat, so it's not a really big deal to me. I just prefer that those animals have not been fed body parts of other animals (including parts of the same species.) The cannibalism unnerves me quite a bit.

Free range, grass fed is the most healthy option....avoiding harmful pesticides, hormones, antibiotics and various microorganisms that are inherent with the standard method..

Personally I am an Alakalarian vegetarian...however,as a Christian,am free to eat animal protein or even tree bark if I choose to do so....There are no mandatory or legalistic dietary laws. Good question.

I will star the question tonight....My work P.C. will not allow me to, for some reason.

They advertised that because they have 'mad cow' in the herd. 'Mad cow' comes from them feeding downer cows back to the others. So grass would supposedly prevent this.

My spiritual belief compels me to not eat animals at all.

I prefer my food to be as natural as possible. I really don't need all the steroids and antibiotics and preservatives and chemicals and all that other crap.

That's a part of my religion of staying healthy and respecting my body.
