my response to RP my question was not if Jesus could eat a pie that was hotter than one that a mere man could eat, but where exactly does his power end, in the heating or in the eating, because surely if his powers are endless then which exceeds the other? i hope i've made myself clearer, although personally im more confused than when i started!

I wonder why some people think this is a 'stupid question' or that you have a 'low mentality', maybe they cannot understand it.

I understand that you are saying that an all-powerful being should be able to heat a pie so much that it would be too hot to eat, but an all-powerful being should be able to eat a pie no matter how hot.

Maybe the people with the 'low mentality' are the ones that don't understand this religious paradox

NOTE: I don't have an answer to this paradox, that is why it is paradoxical. But at least I UNDERSTAND it.

Since it is your five points and you get to spend them on what you want, i will answer your question.

Even though I find it a bit strange!

If jesus really wanted to I imagine he could heat a pie very hot. So hot in fact that a normal man could not eat it. But since Jesus was in fact both God and Man, a mystery we can not understand just accept, he would be able to eat it.

There are some things that God cannot do. God cannot Lie or change what he has already said. He cannot let Liars, Thieves, Blasphemers in to heaven. Will you be innocent or guilty on Judgement day? Here's a quick test. Have you ever told a lie, stolen anything, or used God's name in vain? Jesus said, "Whoever looks upon a woman to lust after her has committed adultery already with her in his heart." Have you looked with lust? Will you be guilty on Judgement Day? If you have done those things God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer at heart. The Bible warns that if you are guilty you will end up in Hell. That's not God's will. He sent His Son to suffer and die on the cross for you. Jesus took your punishment upon Himself -"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." Then He rose from the dead and defeated death. Please, repent (turn from sin) today and trust in Jesus, and God will grant you everlasting life. Then read your Bible daily and obey it.

The Gospel suggestion is that this hypothetical situation would not arise, since Jesus resisted the temptation to use any of his God-given talents for his own purposes.

If science created a universal solvent, where would we keep it? What would happen if an immovable object were struck by an unstoppable force?
- Questions like these are not designed to seek truth; just mind games.
- Evil is not the opposite of good, it is it's absence.
- You seek to attribute finite parameters and attributes to one who is infinite. Like trying to solve a Quantum Physics problem/question using long division and multiplication.

Haha I like that question. its like the one 'could God make a rock so heavy he couldn't lift it'. My pastor-type person was asked that and he said that God would build the rock, try and lift it, and then drop it on the head of whoever asked the question! I think thats a pretty good answer. Dunno how you can twist it for the pie one tho...

i think this guy was asking a serious question. unfortunately, due to all the other insulting questions on yahoo answers, this genuine one has regrettably been taken as an insult.

seems as though zepplin is one of the very few who understood your question!
the others were too tunnel-visioned to look outside of their boxes, never mind.

if there was an all-powerful being lurking in the sky wearing a beard and a long robe, i'm sure that being could do whatever they wished!

not mind games, thats totally different - some people eh?!

:D

Jesus could not do any miracles unless his Father showed him, Jesus said I can do nothing unless my father shows me, & BTW, the bible also says avoid foolish questions.
