I am betting that we women spend more time in prayer and men in action as far as the daily life of our faiths. We call this in Christian families that the Husband is the head of the home and the Wife the heart of it. I find at daily Mass there are always more women. We do engage in Christian action too but I find men have a need for more action. What are your feelings about your faith?

Well, you've ridden the wave of EEO, AA (affirmative action/artificial advancement), lowered standards in many professions for a very long time now, arbirtraily high intake rates for universities etc, and you still haven't learned, like the children you truly are, how to handle power. You suffer the delusion, what I call the corporal complex (every corporal wants to be a sergeant, and acts like a barnyard rooster instead of a thoughtful leader), that 'power' is all about ramming something down someone else's throat. In this, you are like children turned loose in a lolly shop, who feel they can just take what they want without consideration for anyone else. What a sick and sorry way to approach life, and one which, might I add, will bring you undone. I have detected the end of the wave on which you've had a free ride, and soon you will be competing on a level playing field. Maybe then you can behave like civilised human beings instead of little girls who want, want, want, and can't stand it when the goodies are taken away. Pass those sorts of silly laws and you are declaring civil war against your own people - not a path to tread lightly. To quote a song : "If there's war between men and women, there'll be no-one left on Earth". Stop being childish and stupid and get on with a real life.

I think we're about even. Every once in a while there are more women than men, but it's never been enough of a difference for me to notice. If there is, perhaps 3-5% more women are there than men. Now, on workdays and other events like our Shrove Tuesday pancake feed, the men are there in droves, doing most of the physical work. But, when I make it to our Wed. night service and study group, there are sometimes more men there than women. So I guess I'm just going to have to say we're pretty even. :)

Nice way of putting the "head" and "heart" analogy. Something to few people understand.

In my church the congregation is about 60/40 in favor of the women. But we are church that is very active at trying to involve the men, so it is higher then most churches.

(Another new picture already?)

I am Roman Catholic and from my unscientific observation it seems that there are any more women at mass than men. I read newspaper article a month or so ago trying to explain why Christianity in general, and Catholicism specifically, is more popular with women even though it is such a chauvinistic institution. The author's argument was that much of Christian teaching such as "God loves you unconditionally" and "You should submit yourself to God's will" is more popular with women and gay men. Straight men are more motivated by teachings such as "Jesus destroyed death" and "God smote the wicked at Sodom and Gomorrah".

Yes I wish there were more men involved as I like the male influence. They are action oriented.

For pagans I believe there are more women, but I don't really know any other Taoists in person.

Atheists are definitely more men.
