my daughter just put vaseline all over the carpet. I need to find something that will get it out. please help

First try to soak up as much as possible with paper - brown paper bags work the best. then try to shampoo it - you will need to have something to suck out the water. If you can't shampoo it, try more brown paper bags on top of the area, and press a medium warm - NOT HOT- iron and that should bring more of the oil into the bag.

Sprinkle cornstarch straight from the box. Let it sit for several minutes, vacuum and repeat until the vaseline is gone. You are dealing with a grease stain, steer clear of water.
