Depression is most often not linked to anything happening at all. It is a chemical balance issue; totally biological. It can be triggered by bad events, but being a biological condition, many things can cause it. The causes are limitless, so it is time to pay a visit to your doctor to get a diagnoses. It can all be fixed. Good luck!

You might want to change your daily routine. Change your eating habits. Take a weekend and break away from what's familiar to you. Go away by yourself or take a friend or a close cousin or something. When you get back make a doctors appointment with your physician and get a physical. Also, you may need to De-clutter some stuff in your home...a lot times just simply cleaning out some old stuff and opening some windows getting some fresh new bedding and curtains will make a world of difference. Give some stuff away that you know would help someone else..that always makes me feel better. Take care-

There are many factors to consider, you got to give us a little bit more information about you and your lifestyle for someone to be able to pinpoint it exactly.
However, you may consider your age, peoples bodies change. Chemical and physiological changes can affect our mood.
But if you are a very active person then that can't be it.
There are things we hold inside. Maybe something someone said or done or something about your character bothers you. And you are hanging on to it in the back or your heart and can't seem to let it go.
Or maybe like me when you are down you just need some vanilla ice cream with sprinkles on top. I mean, you might want to find that inner child and let go of all of your burdens and just go have fun. Go to the park, have a picnic. See an old freind talk about old times. Learn to play a musical instrument. Buy a puppy or a kitten.
But if the mention of all that just makes you think it will rain, you are allergic to ice cream and hate sprinkles on top. You dwell on being abused as a kid, your old friends are all bastards, you are allergic to pet dander and all that stuff then you may want to see your doctor about your wellness perscription.

tell me about you last week.. you say nothing bad has happened.. ok.. but have you fallen into a routine that drains your energey and happiness?? it's normal to fall into a "slum" just make sure you can fall out of it as well. if this condition persists after more than two weeks.. seek medical help, even therapy.
