Well now you know how big of a piece of crap that so called Hemi engine is. Go buy a Ford Truck, or the new Tundra, or Titan. The dodge trucks are pieces of crap in general.

Yea I miss my 2001 Hemi truck, when I drove it it speed up so fast that it can outrun most cars and trucks even matching corvettes. The thing is it eats up a lot of gas! Once I fill up the tank like $40 (it was in 2002 when gas was like $1.89 damn Bush) drove it to Galveston I stay in Houston and when I came back it was already 1/4 of gas tank! I had it for show but for you it appears you needed for work so I would consider getting a regular V8 standard. The hemi I trade it for a turbo diesal ram 2500

With the Ram's with a HEMI you should change the air filter a little more than a Ram w/ out a HEMI. I have a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 Big Horn Edition with a HEMI and I was told to change the air filter quite often

your car will loose power gradually due to materials fatigue you has a 3-4 old car dont pretend a tune up restore your car performance like when it was brand new
when cars are loosing power in addition to give a tune up (air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, new oil and filter, etc) maybe you has a clog catalytic converter or something wrong on injectors
go to a shop for a computer diagnosis is the better thing you can do

what part of the performance? from a dead stop acceleration, from a roll, gas mileage, braking? if it is your acceleration then it wouldnt be from a plugged cat PAS, your dummy light would be on. i would say find someone to give it a real fuel injection cleaning. most dealers do it, but they dont do it right, believe me, i work at one and all the techs say its a waste of money because it takes too much time to do it right so they do it the cheap easy way. not worth going to a dealer. but if you have a mechanic that you trust ask him to clean out all the injectors and intake. etc.

did you do the tune up yourself? the pcm has an adaptive memory system which adjusts for your driving habits and worn out spark plugs. each time you get a tune up, your pcm has to be reprogrammed, this can only be done at the dealer with the star scan tool. good luck!!

Go to an auto parts store and get fuel injector cleaner. I put that stuff in my 99 Sable and it would run better, get better gas mileage, etc.
Next time don't buy a Dodge, they are notorious for crap. Buy Ford.
