I haven't.

I became unconvinced of the existence of any gods quite independently from any will on my part to do so. I can't choose to believe or not to believe in a god any more than you can just choose to believe the moon is made of green cheese.

The reason I am not convinced in the existence of any gods is because there is no convincing evidence of any gods actually existing and because I actually looked honestly for any evidence. The only evidence I did find supported the theory that all gods are man-made and that people are predisposed to believing legends, urban myths, and other nonsense.

People do not choose to be Atheists, that is how we are all born. As we get older we are influenced and/or indoctrinated into whatever lunatic religion has the most influence on us.

If you are raised in a progressive, forward thinking country or environment, chances are you will stay the way you were born. Freethinking and happy.

I never chose to be an atheist, any more than I chose to like chocolate. I never found compelling evidence that there was a God, so I don't believe in one.

Why do you present it as a choice. Do you make a choice to NOT believe in elves?Of course you don't.You find the concept ridiculous to you. Even if I put a gun to your head and said"believe in elves or die" you only have a choice to SAY you believe in elves. You have no choice as to whether you really believe in them or not. Same goes for atheist. I see the god story as even sillier than the elf story. I cannot "choose" to believe in something that I find ridiculous. Do you have that remarkable ability to "choose" to believe in elves?Till you do,don't call it a choice

Given the lack of evidence supporting the existence of god(s), I find that the only logical choice is to fail to believe in god(s). I fail to believe in leprechauns or fairies for the same reason, as, I'd wager, you do as well.

Because I used my reasoning abilities. There is no proof of any god or gods. Most everything in religion seems to be illogical and harmful to society.
