My hair used to be waist length. Just trim a little so it stays healthy. It depends on your hair but it might take about 3 years

I would guess if you wanted it to actually reach your waist it would take several years. Can't say how many, but you'd have to not cut it for a very long time.
Mine grows about 1 inch every couple of months, so that's 6 or so a year. If you want it waist lenght you probably need 24 to 32 inches. So figure on 5 years, maybe 6 without cutting it at all.

I am a hairdresser and i would say that the majority of peoples hair grows at about a rate of 1/2 an inch per month, deep conditioning treatments once or twice a month always help to keep the hair strong and trimming it once in awhile will too. I have heard of many protein pills helping but if you choose to take hair strengthening pills orally just remember that it will strengthen the hair all over your body and/or make it longer.

hair grows about half an inch a month, maybe a little bit more in the summer, it needs regular micro trims, and good conditioning, you should avoid excessive heat ie blow frying to close or to much use of the straighteners, also your diet plays a part so really 24 inches of hair to what you have already got will take about 4 years, but my is it worth it

It depends on the person. i know my hair takes a ridiculously long time to grow, but trimming it every few months makes the hair stronger, and it will grow faster.

Depending on the person it can take from a couple of months to 1.5 years.
The best is to not cut your hair for 2 months, the 3rd month trim it and so on.

Eat a balanced diet, oil your hair regularily, dont apply too many hair care products...just stick to one or two and keep trimming them off at specific intervals and Voila!! you will be blessed with long hair.

LOL in pregnancy your hair grows fast.
Aside from that, you really can't make your hair grow faster than nature has already declared.
