I was in a pub not long ago while a singaround session was going on, and one lady sang a song which was a slightly modernist take on several fairy tales. The only lyrics I can remember were from the chorus 'and what became of the farmer's wife? She stuck her old man with a carving knife'. If anyone can help me find the song I would be very grateful - I have tried googling the lyrics already of course.

Um, did I mention that it was NOT three blind mice? I might have been able to guess that... There were about six verses, one I seem to recall was about littel Miss Muffet getting her own back on the spider

Three blind mice,
Three blind mice
See how they run,
See how they run!

They all ran after
The farmer's wife
She cut off their tails
With a carving knife
Did you ever see
Such a sight in your life
As three blind mice?

(Can also be sung as a round)

I think Richard Digance did this originally. Can't find the words anywhere. His fan club's website is still under development and doesn't have any reference to it there.
