Did you sincerely ask Jesus to forgive your sins and come into your heart? If you did, you're saved. Welcome to the family of God!
Christianity is not a trip to the altar - it is a lifestyle. It is about putting God first and serving others. (NOT like being a "slave" or doormat - more like wanting to bless others as God blesses you.) It means doing what you know in your heart is right, even when nobody else is looking - or more important for most teens - even when it goes against what your peers think you should do. It means developing a relationship with God by spending time in His word and prayer. It doesn't mean you won't have problems, but it does mean that God will be right there to go through everything with you, and if you focus on Him / keep the faith through any trial you face, you will become more spiritually mature with each trial.
If you aren't already involved in a church youth group or Young Life, I highly recommend it. Also, many churches offer contemporary worship services these days as an effort to reach more young people. The message is the same; it's just presented in a less traditional manner.
God bless!

You know you are a Christian when you know the Holy Spirit is living inside of you as His temple. This knowledge is made more sure if you are baptized in the Holy Spirit and you pray in tongues. Then you will know that the Holy Spirit is the one giving you the utterances in tongues. The Holy Spirit also confirms in your spirit that you are a child of God. Be aware of the presence of the Holy Spirit in you and get to know Him well so that He can guide you in your spiritual walk, including the church you should attend, how to study God's word and other things He wants you to do as a Christian. The Holy Spirit can give the best advice to be a good and fruitful Christian. But check what you hear from the Holy Spirit with a matured Christian who walks in the Spirit to make sure that you are really hearing from Him.

Hello dear,
no one is the "perfect" Christian, and no one is worthy. We have been made worthy by the blood of Jesus Christ. What we must do is strive to be Christ-like. And if you are doing the best that you can, no one can fault you. God knows your heart. If you stress yourself out trying to live up to human standards as a Christian, you will grow very frustrated, because nothing that anyone does is ever good enough from a human viewpoint. Don't rely on human viewpoints to tell you when you are a good Christian.

God is just a superstition.
Instead of trying to become a good Christian, try to become a good person. To do this, read more than just one book. Read a lot of them on a wide range of subjects. Then read books that have the opposite point of view.
Instead of just following spoon-fed morality thought up by fanatics thousands of years ago, think for yourself. Take a more humanistic approach to what is moral or immoral. Make sure you think about each situation and weigh alternatives instead of just applying blanket rules from limited religious lists of "sins" as a stock answer.

You would be the first. How does one become good while at the same time believing those who do not believe as you do deserve to burn in hell for all eternity even though they are decent people. That is the real dilemma isn't it. Maybe you should try becoming a good Buddhist it is easier, and you wouldn't need to hate people just for disagreeing with you..

You can become a good Christian by staying away from "Christians" who say they are the only ones that are "Good Christians" and that they know what is the REAL TRUTH of God's Word and condemn everybody else in the world.
You can become a good Christian by assoicating with good mainline Christians ... who believe in faith AND reason. That means the mainline denominations . . . Episcopal, United Church of Christ, United Methodist, American Baptist, Presbyterian (PCUSA) , Lutheran (ELCA), some Roman Catholic churches, to name the main ones.
You are saved because you are a child of God . . .as we all are . . . Christians, non-Christians, and those who might not believe in God. Jesus and belief in him and doing what he would do is just ONE spiritual path . . . I chose it because it "works for me" . . . find what "works for you."

Your too young to worry about that. Enjoy yourself. Life has a way of teaching us those things you ask. Keep a good balance. Look up the word Narcissism and keep away from it and you'll do fine. Jesus loves you dear one. You are truly special. Remember, the bible says we see through a glass dimly which means we only know in part. Lighten up on yourself...all is well. Be blessed. Remember, he loves you much. Enjoy!!

Keep searching for what god really stand for. Find the best way to contribute and to aid humanity. In a sense, try to become a good person. Symbols and labels are unimportant.
