With Bob Barker retiring wouldn't it be justifiable to just end the show as well? The same would go for Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy if Pat Sajak or Alex Trebek were to leave. Those three shows would not be the same.

I am going to miss Bob Barker SO much! The show will never be the same without him. I had a hard enough time accepting Rich when Rod Roddy died. I can't see anyone ever replacing Bob, and if they hire someone like Ryan Seacrest I will lose it!
However, I will say that the Price is Right is SUCH a great game show! It is never boring, maybe because they mix it up so much every day with different games and prizes. Shows like Wheel become boring to me, but The Price is Right never does, so I hope it continues!

Yes I do believe they should retire the show along with Bob as he WAS the Price is Right! As far as the other shows mentioned, both Wheel of Fortune AND Jeopardy have been hosted by others before Pat Sajak and Alex Trebek, so they can survive with someone new (although it wouldn't be the same at that point). I believe Bob Barker was the ONLY host of PIR.

If the show is still successful (profitable), CBS would be foolish to throw it away. Will it be the same without Barker? No.
Yet there is an opportunity to update it and give it a contemporary spin with a new host. We won't know if it works until they try it, but other franchises like Wheel of Fortune, Hollywood Squares, Pyramid, Family Feud, etc. have survived host changes.

I'm also at work, and I'm sleepy, and thinking of Bob Barker makes me smile. So thank you for the question. Yes, I wouldn't mind seeing it end because Bob IS the price is Right. He's a sweetheart and the only host that should be allowed to stand upon that stage.

No, I have been watching the Price Is Right since I was five. There is no host that could be half as good as Bob Baker was. But hopefully it will stay on the air for a while because I enjoy watching the show.

You don't have to criticize yourself for asking this question. You have as much reason as somebody who ask why the sky is blue.
To answer this question, I dont think the Price is right should end just bec. Bob Barker is retiring. They can always replace him with lets say Jim Carrey.

We're all going to miss Bob .. I enjoyed his stalling techniques to make the game exciting to see if the contestant won or lost...
Whoever CBS picks, I hope that they chose well.
