My 5 year old made hubby a paperweight at school with her picture in the middle of it. I'm helping my 3 yeard old to make him a chef's apron with her handprints on it.
I'm buying him one of those pay-first cell phones so I can get hold of him during the day ... it worries him that we can't reach him in emergencies. Those pay-first cells are great for folks who don't use a cell phone that much.
We are also having a bbq for family and friends.

Getting him a stein, he always wanted one. The usual flowers, and love talk. The stein is really nice, has an eagle for lid lifter (I don't know the terminology) and is very decorated. The lid is filled, it isn't cast metal, and has a scene inside the lid, with birds, eagles or pheasants, flying off through the treetops over a river. You can't even see this unless you open it. I like it, and was thinking of getting it for months. I went into a shop a few months ago, and they did have the regular printed steins with colors, and the metal stamped lid. I asked if he ever did have any other steins. Went into the shop a few weeks ago, and it was in the display cabinet. I love it, and hope he does too.

I was thinking of taking some carnations to the cemetery and putting them on his grave.
