If you fish lakes then the largemouth bass is the best fish in terms of catchability and fun. Lots of lures can be used, but a plain old plastic worm always works. If you have access to the flats like Mosquito Lagoon, Indian River or areas on the West Coast, then Redfish (Red Drum) are very popular. Use a popping cork with live bait fish or some plastics like jerk shad, peeler crabs or DOA shrimp. Snook are also found as well as Atlantic sea trout. If you fish from the beaches be on the lookout for trout and pompano. Pompano will eat sand fleas and shrimp works just fine for most anything out in the surf.
Keep an eye on the fishing reports in your area to see what's being caught and how for best results: http://www.centralfloridafishingreport.com/

Well that depends. I do alot of fishing down in Florida. Mostly the lakes, rarely the ocean.
But if you were gonna fish the ocean weather it be the Gulf or Atlantic go for Sheephead, Redsnapper, or Flounder.
Lake, Bass or Catfish. I have had alot of luck fishing with a crankbait in the lakes in Florida. Never have I had caught any big fish with a plastic worm down there. So a crankbait or spinnerbait is your best for Bass.
Again I don't fish the ocean much, so I don't know what to tell you to use. Shrimp would be my first choice.

I love to snook fish but really any saltwater fish is fun to fish for and those big Florida largemouth bass cna be good too!
If you want to go out and give it a try use a live shrimp on a hook with a small weight to get it down but not to tire thwm out.Or put a live shrimp on a troll right jig and cast for fish with that!I like to use a live shrimp under a cork so give it a try and have some fun!

Well my favorite fish to catch here in FL is Large Mouth bass .
I think the best bait for the biggest bass here in Florida is a large live golden shiner .
here is a link to read about rigging them, and other info on them
http://www.bassnedge.com/tips/catching_bass_with_wild_shiners.htm
Another favorite lure of mine is for bass a culprit plastic worm rigged texas style .

Snook is one of the nice fishes to target...
try jigging for baitfishes ...tiny little sardina, herring or mullet
rig em up and enjoy the show..
at the same time ... throw a couple of lines with shrimp..that usually works
