Why does God not just give us a prayer to say in the bible to be saved? I believe God wants to hear the abundance of your heart and not anyone elses. If you are ready to accept His free gift of eternal life, you must repent(turn from your sins) and trust in Jesus alone to save you. It's not just a one time prayer - it's a whole new lifestyle. Excellent point.
There isn't a sinner's prayer. Repent and believe. Follow Him, Take up your cross, etc... are all things Jesus told us to do. We should have 'fruits' of our salvation.
However, I do believe that once you make that commitment to Jesus, you are saved forever by grace. I do not believe that you can lose your salvation.
If you believe that, I do not agree with you.

You wont find an actual scripted prayer....
The sinner's prayer is simply confessing to God through Jesus Christ that you are a sinner and in desperate need of the Savior.
This is where true repentance begins.
The point of salvation begins at this confession.....and is also when the Holy Spirit of God comes to live and dwell within you (Ephesians 1:13-14).....you are now sealed by Him.....and that seal is permanent and cannot ever be broken.

1. Hear
2. Believe
3. Repent
4. Confess
5. Be Baptised
6. Remain Faithful until death
