You can overdose on fat-soluble vitamins which are A,E,K & D, because the surplus is stored in the liver and excess may be harmful.
B-12 is one of the water soluble vitamins which dissolves in water, is not stored and is eliminated in the urine, so they say you can't really overdose on those.
I read on yahoo health that folic acid should not be taken to treat undiagnosed anemia (you didn't say whether your's is diagnosed or not), and that it may hide other symptom of anemia, leading to neurological damage, and that treatment of anemia during folic acid therapy may require vitamin B-12.
There is always an ongoing debate about taking too much of a good thing, everything in moderation is my motto.
That's why, in the end, it's best to consult with a physician on vitamin therapy.

I just wanted to add Vitamin water is overrated, it's basically sugar water with a vitamin tablet dropped into it, if your taking it to lose fat or to stay healthier it's better to save yourself 125 calories of sugar and just take a tablet with water. Edit: I don't know why all these people are getting thumbs down, yeah you can overdose but it would take drastic amounts, I seriously doubt your in any risk of overdosing on anything especially just from vitamin water, it has only like 50% total of your dv% so don't worry about it, some veggies have 1000% of your dv ina vitamin and you won't get sick if you eat a bunch of em, look at sweet potatos and their vitamin a content.

Regulated and taking them by the directions you should be good but yes most people overdose on vitamins and get sick. They may not realize it but it does happen for example if you overdose on Vitamin C you will get the runs. Too much of Calcium will cause muscle spasms, also B12 is great but you don't want to overdo it because you are hurting your nerves system. As for the Iron, take it accordly do not go overboard, you will be sick from doing that so start eating stuff that is natural for the iron deficeny such as spinach and also you may want to try SLOW FE which is a great iron supplement.

I say it's very unlikely anyone could overdose on vitamin C. Here in Europe the recommended daily amount (RDA) is about 100 milligrams (varies country to country) and people I know (including my family) regularly take 2 grams (20 times the RDA) in 2x 1 gram esterfied vitamin C tablets. Very occasionally people suffer mild diarrea but otherwise don't get sick at all from such a high dosage.
A famous New York physician and Nobel prize winner used to recommend high daily doses of vit. C to prevent cancer. Eventually the Cancer Industry, part of the larger petro-chemical industry, were to diss his findings.
Prehistoric man is believed to have consumed at least 2 grams a day of vit. C, and high levels of lysine (an essential amino acid) from nuts and berries during warm months of the year, and store it in their artery walls, from where it would be released in winter. Today we don't burn off this stored vitamin by exercise so these stores become layers of arterial plaque and clog our arteries, leading to cardiac surgery or heart attack.
Don't know how much a gram is? You must be American. The rest of the world went metric last century!

Vitamins are ground up isolated chemicals and minerals. They make you gag because your body knows they aren't what it wants eat. Vitamins are a waste of money because your body doesn't recognize them as nourishment and passes them through your body without absorption. That's why your urine is bright yellow. Healthy urine should be a light straw (dried grass) color. Whole-foods contain fatty acids, amino acids, glucose, whole-food vitamins and minerals. Vitamins do not have all those elements synergistically bonded. Vitamins are not living. Life comes from life so you must eat living foods to live healthy. Whole-foods are the best source of nutrition you can eat. i would be happy to assist you on your journey.

You definitely can od on vitamins. I know that too much iron can cause all sorts of problems, mouth ulcers and other stuff.
I would see a doctor if you're concerned about the dosages you are taking, but I would recommend you only take the dosage written on the labels.

You don't need anything more than a daily multivitamin. I've also heard that too much vitamin A has been linked to cancer, and people who take multivitamins 7 days a week have a higher risk of developing cancer due to too much vitamin A. I guess too much of everything is bad, and not enough of everything is also bad.

you really should consult your doctor.
when mixing different types of vitamins they can all have a different effect.
now read the directions for the serving size and how much daily value it has. then you can see what you are putting in your body. you shouldn't be taking anymore than you should because it can be "toxic" to your body.
B12 are big energy boosters... take those in the morning.
still consult your doctor.

Yes, you can. If people ate a good diet with plenty of fruit and vegetables they wouldn't need to buy vitamin tablets.
