It is normal, one way or the other we all might step one over another when it comes to religion & belief. Because it is our faith that we cherish in our heart that is argued or accused. But we all must learn forebearance and tolerance and respect one another. God is above everything. We should learn to love the good ones and hate the evil for His sake. "the world is a mingled yarn, where good and bad co-exists".

It depends on what u mean by saying "non-tolerant". It can mean diff things to diff people. There are people who believe just one religion to be true and all the rest false. There r people who spread their religion by killing all those who don't accept it. There are people who just don't associate with people of other religion. Then there are also people who explicitly hate other religions. Non-tolerance can be of many types.
There is nothing wrong if someone considers one particular religion to be the only truth. He may have reasons for such beliefs and we cannot argue that. In that case there is no question of non-tolerance bcoz one is free to believe what he wants to. But if anyone causes any insult to any religion or faith system, that is certainly wrong. Such people, I would say, don't even give more value to God coz hatred and insult r things against the very nature of God.
Those who truly value God, do value people. Jesus said, "if you can't love your brother whom you have seen, how will you love God whom you have not seen?"

It's not just that-- it's just that there are so many people out their that judge you on your religion and tell you face to face their religion is better or go by steryotypes...
I'm indifferent to all this prejudice.
I am Hindu and countless times people talk of religions that are "better"
I do not react.
But if I don't then I may as well be consenting. Some people say silence is a thousand wrds...maybe or maybe not...
Many of friends when faced in such a situation stand up for themselves because if not, their self esteem is getting questioned, they are standing up for their rights, the rights that the Constitution has given, Amendment 1 has given us...but no one really in life keeps to. I'm sorry but I find it offensive that people once were considering to be teaching the Bible in public schools (specifically mine in California). What about my religion, and others, are we any lower, it is nonetheless a form of discrimination against me.
WE DO NOT VALUE GOD MORE THAN HUMAN RELATIONSHIPS, WE VALUE OURSELVES AND OUR SELF ESTEEM MORE. IF A WRONG IS DONE TO US, WE STAND UP FOR OUR PERSONAL RESPECT.

well everyone out there is trying to get each other to convert to their own religion or just insist their beliefs are right.
and yes, I DO, value God more than human relationship.
humans cant even give me 1/100 of what God can give me.
eternal life, but that does not mean i totally do not care about humans.its in the Bible to love them/ etc.

Can you not value your god without religion?
without impacting on others?
treasuring a one-on-one relationship with YOUR particular saviour
without infringing the rights of others?
Humans first!

I think it's because people feel so stronly in what they believe that they want other people to share their same view. That there is only room for "their" God alone.
I'm not saying that everyone is like that, but those are the people that stand out.

What do you value more?
Truth, or the false ideal of accepting all beliefs, even when those beliefs threaten your life and liberty?
I am going with truth.
I value my "God-given" life.
