Some of you know I haven't watched the news for over a year. It saddens me to see the state of the world & the way we treat our fellow humans. Its unbearable. When I watch what's going on out there, its like watching the world vomit from the pit of its stomach.

Do you believe we will always live with this madness? Is it part of the bigger picture? Or do you believe there will come a day when there are no wars?

The war of positive and negative forces is always going on!!

wars, cold wars, economic wars, moral wars all are outcome of such energy-dance

The world has been manifested by Eternal conscious energy which divided itself into positive and negative forces....and with this struggle for survival and ruling by both the forces, the World is born.

So as long as world exists, these forces will continue their struggle... sometimes at gross scales ..sometimes at subtle scales.

However, as per hindu mythology the present era is called Kaliyuga.... the era of darkness, sin and cruelty....

After Kaliyuga, Sat-yuga will come... which will be harmony between these opposite forces... but still it will not be permanent

Dear Farah,
If it is only an idea now it becomes a possibility for the future. I do not think that it's just an idea because there are many communities in the world - even today - that live in peace. Many will say that humanity has not yet reached a state where it lives at its most authentic potential. Yet there are many people who believe that they live very close to this ideal too. Human history is relatively recent in the course of life on earth - if you came only one million years ago you would have found no body but just flora and fauna and before that the human species was only a possibility. So it seems to me that what starts off as an idea with possibility it may - given time - eventuate on a global scale. The trouble we see around us may be a stage of transition which invariably marks the dynamics change. As individuals we can only attempt to work for peace everyday - as the Greens say; to think globally and act locally, if we want to change the world we live in. I think that there is something in that saying.

I think Peace in the world is a very strong possibility even if it may not be reached in my life time or yours.

Peace

There will be war until the end of time. It is an outworking of the human heart. The only way to change the human heart is through spiritual rebirth wherein man understands God's purpose in Christ and therefore changes his behavior. But Christians still go to war. Yet war changes nothing. World War I which was to me the worst of all wars, was supposed to be the War to End War. And 21 years later we had Hitler. The human heart is such that men will kill other men because they do not believe the same things (who owns what). The future wars will be resource wars over energy and water. So live your life as peacefully as you can, make the place where you live, peaceful. But don't imagine (as Lenon did) that there will be peace. I too gave up watching the news - most of it is propaganda and lies and the real issues are on the internet now (watch a global push to control it soon!). Yes it is part of a bigger picture but the only time wars will cease is when you go to be in the next world.

Mark 13:7 - And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet.

There will be no peace, while two men are left standing. It's sad. It would indeed take an act of God, to stop the wars. The saddest part is, we accept that reality as the only option. It's like looking back at the history of automobiles, and discovering that the first two cars, had a collision, and road rage was born.

Yes Farah there will be peace in the world and INDIA WILL LEAD THE WORLD BY FINGER. Hope u ve seen the efforts of Baba Ram Dev to give good health and cheer to everyone, rich or poor, thru easy yoga which not only improves health but temperament also. People fight when they ve lost tolerance power but nobody can fight for long they have to come to terms with peace. History is replete with such instances that war harms both the parties, the winner and the loser. Unless the winner wins his own heart as in the case of KING ASHOKA OF KALINGA, he is not a true winner. People like hitler committed suicide and live in fear and died hundred deaths before final ignoble departure. We the people of India must join and strengthen the efforts of Baba Ram Dev, urge our govt. to introduce pranayam in schools so that our future zone is strong, secure and lead others. Besides India is a country with faith in God, when health improves thru pranayam, prayers automatically become integral part of ones life. So there is every hope and each of us has to contribute our best in action and not merely thought. What Baba Ram Dev has done in U.K. and America no body every did or thought on those lines. But I have not met him so far. I simply follow what he teaches on AASTHA channel so do not think that I am promoting him in any way. I respect his teachings. Get going.

The only thing that prevents peace now is paralysis of will. Conditions for making peace possible exist now. The technology is in place. Peace is more than a banning of weapons and the signing of protocols and treaties. Peace is more than an end to war.

The upheavals we see now are because the world is in the severe pangs of giving birth to a new planetary level of unity based on the oneness of humanity. We've previously moved through ever-advancing stages of unity, from family to clan to tribe to village to town to city to city state to nation, all painfully, slowly, but successfully. We will make it through the transition to planetary unity very painfully, very slowly, but very successfully.

Our minds and behaviors have to be reset. We have to understand that humanity is one; that there is one race, the human race; that there is one universal family, and everything that implies. We have been socialized to believe that conflict and aggression are intrinsic to human nature. That is a false assumption. Though it's very, very difficult to reach "critical mass" with the concept of the oneness of humanity, inevitably we'll do it if previous success is an indicator. Besides, if we don't like peace, we can always go back to warring.

The international Baha'i community is a working model of how peace can be achieved, a living model of unity in diversity. I encourage and invite you to check out this terrific group of people and the teachings and principles that underpin their individual and collective lives. http://www.bahai.org/

Unfortunately I don't believe we will ever have world peace. I wish I could see a day when we have no wars but I don't think that is ever going to be the case, sad but true....

The age of Aquarius is upon us, it is possible.
Our biggest obstacles will be ridding the world of religious fanatics and greed.
This will take several generations of enlightenment to achieve. Speak to the young, get through to them.

When Jesus returns in the sky and meets up with the people who have received Him in their heart and we go with Jesus than 3 and one half years of God's wrath will be poured on the earth and when that is finished God said there will be a new heaven and a new earth. That is when there will be world peace. But hang on to Jesus because its going to be one heck of a ride.
