It's always a red flag. Don't read means the person advising you is afraid you might find something better. I don't read the Quran because it didn't make any sense to me... but people should be free to read it if they want.

I only watched about 3 minutes of the movie and stopped at the part he said "Religion isn't about proof, it is about faith." and the other guy said "In Islam we have both, and when we get more of one, we get more of the other"

Tell me if I'm wrong, but isnt Islam's proof the Quran? In which case it is all faith, not proof.

Just like the person above me said, I have yet to hear a pastor/preacher advise not to read the Quran. You don't become Christian and shut out the rest of the world (at least you shouldn't).

I've never been so advised. In fact, it should be encouraged. One striking thing about the Quran is the frequent exhortations to force the true religion (Islam) on the enemy (non Muslim).

We Christians have this ALL ENCOMPASSING THING (of the foremost importance) which is called:
S P I R I T U A L D I S C E R N M E N T.....

and Ive YET to meet a PASTOR (not pasteur), who has advocated that we do not read the Qu'ran.
KNOW THE ENEMY! WE DO NOT FEAR CONVERSION.

So, riddle me this, "friend":
WHY do muslims BURN BIBLES and MURDER CHRISTIANS CONVERTS< AND MISSIONARIES?>

Satan is VERY AFRAID we will, WITH OUR INDWELLING HOLY SPIRIT, convert muslims.

That is the truth.

Probably because it looks a whole lot like the old testament - very much that same tone of "God is one mean SOB so don't tick him off".
