Mid twenties. That's my opinion. I feel that women who have babies too early or late in life have more problems. Depending on the woman, of course, most women have less problems with pregnancies in their 20s. From personal experience, I had much easier time healthwise being pregnant at 25 than I did when I gave birth again at age 32.
As long as you're over 21, finished the schooling of your choice, and best if you have a partner to help you, go for it. Don't wait til you're a little too old to have patience with teenagers noises in the house.

I would say it is more a question of maturity and experience than age... You should be old enough to have lived your life a bit - experienced a job - college - learned a bit about life - fallen in love - Some times these things can happen by 20 and sometimes not until 30 -
This is why kids having kids always fails... they just don't have enough to teach their children and so the pattern is repeated....

Age isn't really the question, its all in maturity and responsibility.
Just think 50+ years ago women were having children at 16 years old and there kids turned out fine. But now 25-30 year old women can be having kids and they still aren't mature enough for that. As long as you aren't a kid yourself, under 18, and are mature, responsible, and capable of taking care of yoruself and a child, then there isn't an age limit.

I'm 25 (36 weeks pregnant) right now and my husband and I are having our first child.
I think that the most important things when planning children are:
- Good financial standing
- Maturity
- Willing to take on responsibility
- Lots of love/nurturing
- Being prepared mentally/physically/emotionally
There are a lot of women in today's world that can and do achieve these qualities earlier in life. More kudos to these women. Personally, I did not feel ready until this year.

i dont think theres any perfect age, but I do think being stable is important. I chose to have my first at 18, many people presume she was an accident, but in fact, I just decided it was time, and so did my then husband.
I know too many people who think theres a perfect age, or wait until theyre married with the big house, 2 cars and a bank full of money. and in the end of the day, theres no certanties in life, putting it off for that perfect situation doesnt mean squat.
I also dont think being older necessarily means youll be better off financially or emotionally.
So at the end of the day I think its totally up to the woman and her partner, to decide when they think its right, whether that be 18 or 38
Having said that, I dont think its a subject to be taken lightly

Old enough to have your finances in place. Old enough to realize that your interests are never again going to be the first consideration.

Old enough to be financially and emotionally secure.
Old enough to have put your troubled past, if you have one, behind you.
Old enough to appreciate the value of a stable homelife.
