to be in unity with them.

It is a call of Chrsitians to be unified with others who claim Jesus has Lord.
HOw do you deal when they deliberately continue to take drugs, misrepresent the Bible... How do you follow God's request that we be in unity?

This was really killing me for a few months, I think, I have resolved it just interested in how other Christians manage this?

Just for the curious, it was an isolated person using the drugs, and they were illegal (not prescription although abuse of prescription drugs cant be good it isn't as noticeble as a plant in your backyard)

Well, first of all, taking drugs does not unmake a Christian. Yeah, it's not a good thing to do, but I was wondering why that even showed up in your statement? I know it was an example, but it seems out of character, perhaps a singular event that got put in? Is it that common?

But my eyes are not on other Christians unless I am answering a specific Christian, that's when I depend upon God for discernment.

As far as unity goes, that will happen when Christ returns, his prayer in John 17 will be answered. If not then, it will happen in heaven, looking forward to it?

Another thing I wanted to touch on is the expectation that some Christians have about what other Christians should be like. I mean, God convicts us to be Christians in the first place. So why would that stop after becoming one? It's like what Paul said to the Galatians. When did the Spirit stop being the Spirit in our lives, that we had to accentuate the differences that we all have? But humbling ourselves to eachother, and allowing the Spirit to work in all of us?

So unity is not what I am looking at. Neither am I looking for others to change into what I would approve of. But as Hebrews 12:2 says, " Keeping our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of Faith." I don't have time to check out everyone elses faults, I have enough of my own!

Don't you?

To have unity with true Christians is a good thing, I think the question you should be asking yourself is, the whole group doing this or just a few? if it's the whole group you need to talk to your pastor maybe have him there for the meetings to help guide them out of this, God dose not want his word misrepresented, now if people are just getting a different meaning from what they read, don't fight or bicker, pray about it as a group ask God to give you light on the meaning, and ask the pastor and elders for advice. You should be praying for guidance on what God wants from you, Everyone should have a personal relationship with him. It could be that God wants you to take a step up in some leader ship and give some guidance, God dose work through you to don't cut yourself short. but do not go in there with anger or a harden heart, approach everything with love, If the people are calling themselves Christians and there still doing drugs, tell them we should be living as Jesus taught us and setting examples for others as a christian it is all of our job to lead others to Christ and that will not happen by the way we are acting, we will turn others away from God, It should be about Gods kingdom we are trying to build, not about ourselves.

Prayer. I try not to bicker about the Bible. The words are the same, and as long as we hold to the facts that make us Christian, the other stuff that we get hung up on (like Predestination, Eternal Security, whether or not Revelation is allegory or literal prophesy, etc.) will get sorted out when Christ returns. We'll all be together in eternity, so why start fighting now?

As for taking drugs and misrepresenting the Bible, I just lovingly remind them of the Biblical way to act (treat your body as the temple of God, etc.)

I couldn't agree with you more. The range of chrisitian beliefs out there is so wide it is so hard to accept others who almost, make a mockery of your belief. Who take something so precious and then "insult" it and turn others away from it.

I guess the way I pull through is by looking at places like Ireland. Where christians are so far from unity they are at "war". We must avoid that.

Unity can bring a better understanding by accepting others beliefs. I believe if you can't accept them ,stear clear, but always try to listen and have an open mind. Unity cannot be brought without acceptance.

You reason with them as the Bereans. If they will not listen you shake the dust off you feet and leave them.
The Unity is in the Spirit. It is either present or missing.
What drugs do you refer to?

You first have to be in Unity with God. Stop judging them, speak the truth in love, never do evil for evil, and remember a soft answer turneth away wrath,

You are unified with Christians across the world. Have you been involved in a cult?

I usually simply do this:
1: State the problem.

2: Get a King James 1611 Bible.

3: Find answer.

4: Throw Bible at other Christian's Head

I have always Knew about God since I was a small child, When i was small I didnt even know their was such thing as sin really and i didnt know that their was a such thing as a non believer. I never really was into God i only had the knowledge of him Now im 18, after i graduated in December i drank and partyed with my friend that i had known f or years, I decided to dedicate my life to God and my friend doesn't really care to hang out with me anymore cuz i gave up drinking. Alot times iv been hurt, and I have had a sense of what a persons true character is, and at that time I am unsure but i find out im right 100% of the time, which i dunno how it has to be from God. for example my friend jeff he threw away his friendship with me over a girl, and one night i decided to be friends with the girl i joked around sexually with her, she was gigglin n everything, then i said naww im kiddin, she told him wht i said except for the fact i said i was kiddin n said tht jeff is a good guy she turned my of wht i thought my best friend into my enemy i warned him and later on shew ended up gettin pregnaunt and cheating on jeff, or one day my nephew blew up at me n i told him this and that will happen a few days later exactly that happned. but no one believes you and that hurts.

what fellow christians do is up to them, we are all at different levels and have our own form of sin or sins we struggle with, example drugs, judging etc.......in which event we must try earnestly to carry our cross and strife to imitate our lord as best we can. as for differences that stem from denominations i try learn the core beliefs of other denominations and respect and tolerate the differences because at our core we have the truth and promise of jesus christ. in whichever denomination we or the majority seek that relationship with jesus that saves. god bless. looking at the faults of others no little or how big damages you more as you are not perfect, pleases don't be insulted, i have a ways to go still but try rejoice that the person is seeking god as opposed to ignoring god.

That is false Christianity. Keep away from them not to be influenced. Before joining religious congregation examine the members morals especially the leader such as pastor or priest. You are dealing the safety of your soul and be rigid.
