Yes you can but the success level will vary with the drug you're addicted to. Some with physical addiction symptoms of withdrawal will not be very effective because the body itself has to detoxify and there are physical effects you go through. There are medications to alleviate these symptoms however.
For addictions to drugs that are more mental or emotional addictions then you might have better success with hypnosis if you also change your habits that lead you to want to use the drug. For example, you go through hypnosis to stop using cocaine or weed but you still go to parties and hang out with people you always used with. Good luck staying clean. You have to change patterns and behaviors to keep the temptation and cues that lead you to respond to the old addictions along with the hypnosis that is supposed to change the way you think about it. I believe you have to be very motivated to stop as well. Hypnosis isn't something that overrides your personal will. Good luck and do some research on it. Not every hypnotist is a therapist or good. You can waste about $500 or more if you don't set up a support system for yourself and find a reputable professional who specializes in drug treatment.

Sure, you can get hypnotized for anything. For example, I once went to a therapist (hypnotist) to get help in getting over a relationship breakup/emotional stuff.

But, as I have understood it, a lot depends on the person's predisposition to want and accept the change. So if you don't really want to quit using, don't have a desire, it might be unlikely that hypnosis sessions would be effective for you.

Yes. You can get hypnotised for anything. Doesn't work for everyone though. I tried hypnotism to improve my maths skills in high school but I was still crap at it!
