i have an old calorie meter thingy thing and i use it to keep track of how many calories i burn within a hour, after intensively jumping for a hour it says about 900 and sometimes 1000, i would just like to know if the meter is accurate and if this is possible because if it is then i think i can really lose some weight this summer :)

It depends on your weight and the intensity.
A 120lbs woman would spend about 570 calories jumping for an hour in a moderate space but a 180lbs guy would spend 1028 calories jumping for an hour in a fast space.

Just enter your weight and the intensity in the link bellow:

If you can jump intensely for an hour...you must be a boxer at the top of his shape...then calories should not be what you should worry about...

Yeah, that's probably about right. Jumping is pretty intense and 1000 calories in an hour is possible (just jogging burns 750, don't listen to the ten hour comment above.)
