I wonder if I can buy this 2001 lesabre. From carfax, it was a loan/lien car and ran 90k in the past 3 years. There are 2 owners in history.

can I still go for this lesabre given these conditions? if yes, how much should I pay for it? can it run for another 40k ?

Seriously, we can't evaluate the car without looking under the hood and underneath the car, test driving it, and looking at the maintenance and service history. Do this yourself or have a mechanic inspect it. An inspection will cost around $100. If the car was maintained properly (all fluids, filters, spark plugs, belts, hoses, etc. were replaced regularly), then the car should last another 40,000 miles. This is unlikely, as many drivers don't know much about maintenance and repairs. It's not too high of a mileage, if the car was maintained properly. It's probably worth over $4400 if it's in good condition. Price the car here:

The mileage on this car is not unusual for its age. However, the real key is how those miles were accumulated, and what level of maintenance was given the car while it was being driven.

LeSabre's that are properly maintained and driven tend to be long lasting and reasonably problem free. But, if one of those owners didn't bother maintaining properly, the car could be a piece of junk by now.

I would not recommend purchase without having a qualified mechanic do an inspection of the major components of the car.

just consider price and condition, anything over $7000 is a little high for that car and miles, but the dealership I work for (GM),see many of these with well over 200,000,on them, plus we even have one a 1997 with 300,000 +,

That's very high for anything except a airplane.
