I am often amused when someone ask a question about God and instructs us to answer without using the word of God. God reveals his truth to those who love the truth it is more than blind faith but through faith comes revelation and a personal relationship with a very real God.

If you "believe" in something you think you know to be true, then you start to "know" it is true!! For example; most people KNOW the sun will rise in the morning.....but what if it does not?? Just because the sun has risen every morning for millions of years, who is to say that it will do so tomorrow?? Perhaps some cosmic event will prevent the sun from rising again....Yet if you took a survey asking the question, "Will the sun rise in the morning?", I bet most people would say yes (and call you an idiot for asking), a handful would come up with a smartypants answer, but VERY few would say "maybe"!!
So, since Christians "believe" so strongly that the Bible is the word of God, it has become something they "know"....and they refuse to accept evidence that man has altered the Bible in any way, despite real evidence to the contrary. (At the same time, there is also evidence to support Biblical events--like Sodom and Gomorrah, saw a great show on Discovery channel on this!)
Bottom line?? TRUTH is in the eye of the beholder!!!

FAITH :When you do the will of God, you will see things happen just like it describes in the bible. Our church follows the word of God and we see things happen. You need to have faith show your obedience to God (what is more important, money or God, if you show your faith and obedience to God will make things happen for you. By my faith I was filled with the holy spirit before I came to church, the force that came through my body was so great that it took away the pain that I had and the depression. I minister the word to people that have question like you and one night after ministering late into the night i was driving home and I kept falling asleep. On the third time it happened, God woke me up in a split second, when pins and needles went through my head and from my elbows to my hands (no pain) and my ears poped open, I was wide awake and drove all the way home. I have had other situations and other people in the church have things happen that were God. What I am getting to is that people say that the bible was written by man 1000 years ago, then why by the power of God and the faith of man, we lay hands on the sick they recover and when we cast out demons from people, these happen. Ask God to find a church home for you, show yourself approved by learning the word and go out into the world and preach the gospel www.mylordmysavior.com

The origins of the new testament scriptures, which accurately record the fulfillment of all the prophecies of the old testament, can be traced directly to Jesus Christ and the apostles whom he selected.
The Catholic Church, which was founded, authorized, empowered, and eternally guaranteed by Jesus Christ, wrote all of the books that make up the new testament, and compiled all the authentic writings of the old testament.
It is the Catholic Church which testifies to the God inspired and inerrant nature of all authentic scripture.
History has also verified (and so far, totally failed to overturn) the facts of scripture.
In the end, Jesus Christ perfectly fulfilled over 200 various old testament prophecies, some written thousands of years before he walked the earth.
After he rose again from the dead, exactly as he predicted, he spent another 40 days explaining to his disciples exactly how and why he did it.
Then, he ascended to heaven, in plain sight of his apostles, in the very same flesh that had once been so brutally crucified, and killed.
Before the apostles died, they dutifully recorded (or had their assistants record) much of what Jesus did, taught, and said, for the benefit of future Christians, everywhere.
All of these things tend to encourage the belief in Jesus' claim of divinity, in the divine and infallible nature of the teachings of his church, and in the truth of the holy book that his church compiled, wrote, and produced, for the purpose of our salvation.

The difference between the Word of God and just words written by normal people is its ability to transform human hearts and, on a larger scale, human society. In this area the words contained within the Bible have easily proven their power. Whole societies have been transformed by its Word and there are plenty of stories of how individuals have been transformed as well. Kings and queens have bowed down in worship of Him and governments have based themselves on His teachings. Of course, there are time when some people misuse the Word of God as well but that is to be expected because God has given us free will as well.

Since the bible has errors, the notion that it is the word of god is silly. To see an error requires nothing more than a shovel and the ability to count: the annual layers of the Antarctic ice cap go back hundreds of thousands of years. No flood.

it incredibly is a perception. basically roll with it. The boat of existence has many passengers, and not too many oars. attempt to no longer rock the boat because of the fact i don't sense like swimming. to answer your final question, no. Your lifelike factors will convince no one. it is going to basically reaffirm the ideals of people who trust you, and form of annoy the Christians who have self belief the Scriptures have been inspired via God. because of the fact the Bible says, "do no longer solid your pearls upon swine."

The prophecies proved it to me. I have not seen a contradiction in it that hasn't been explained as actually not a contradiction after all. It is inconceivable to me that this long book with so many different writers do not contradict themselves numerous times. From a biblical explanation one can say it was handed down from Moses and passed on from generation by those who witnessed the events.

Skipping the obvious absurdity of your question, on what basis do we know ANYTHING if all we're going to do is doubt the source origin of any book(s) that make us uncomfortable? Reading about Pearl Harbor is very unsettling, but denying its reality by claiming the source is somehow not true is in no way going to alter the fact that it happened.
