I think body modification is all about expressing yourself, and trying to turn it into a uniform (girls get tongue piercings, guys get eyebrow piercings, etc.) completely defeats the purpose.
While I may personally find this or that more attractive, it has to do with the person, not their gender or any other external factor. For instance, I am not generally a huge fan of septum piercings (I don't dislike them, they just don't appeal to me personally), but I know one girl who looks fantastic with an 8 guage claw in her nose. Why? I dunno. She just does. Maybe because it makes her happy to have it there, and thus makes her carry herself better.
I try to limit my expectations of appearences to myself. I wouldn't like other people telling me what is and isn't attractice on MY body. Why should I tell them?
All my piercings and tattoos are for me and me only. If someone doesn't like it, they clearly aren't someone I care to spend time on.

Some tattoos are beautiful, but I've never seen one that I like enough to put on my own body. I've thought about putting a blue bird on my left ankle, but I've never quite found the one I want there.
I think some tattoos look ridiculous. A very beautiful young woman got on the bus one day, and when she turned around to take her seat, she had her back exposed and she had this huge spine and rib bones tattooed on her back. My goddaughter's sister has tons of the "homemade" tattoos. They just look silly..like some kid was drawing on her. She did most of those in 6th or 7th grade.
Piercings...ears are nice. I have a total of 8 holes (5 and 3) 6 of them self-inflicted. All of them before I was 20. I probably would've pierced my nose had I been born 10 years later. Maybe my bellybutton if I were about 200 lbs lighter. Never my tongue. I hear your food tastes like blood for a while after having that done. I usually don't like the eyebrow, but I used to work with a guy who it looked really sexy on.

well I must say what my preference for me is different for other people. It really doesn't make a difference to me if a person is tattooed or pierced. I feel as tho it's a very personal choice. What maybe right for me maybe totally wrong for another person.Whenever a person makes that choice to follow thier indiviual choices and make a statement to go against the mainstream I applaud them, it takes guts to go against the grain in society.
Ok having said that, I am sleeved on one arm from my wrist to bicep. I have other tattoos, last week I crossed that line and got a tattoo on my finger and I love it !It wasn't something I just jumped into. I thought about it for awhile. I cant imagine ever not being tattooed. And soon I will start on other arm. It really doesn't matter to me what other people think about it.
For as my preference for the opposite sex, my husband is heavily tattooed. I don't think I would be with someone who has no tattoos cause I don't know if they would ever get me. He also has 11/2 inch ear plugs and his tongue is split. He is a tattoo artist. But I didn't just see the tattoos, I see the person he is. But I must say he is hot !Yesterday we celebrated our 1 year anniversary.

I don't like tattoos because they are forever. I really don't want to imagine myself as a grandmother with some stretched tattoo on me! Lol. Thats why I'm never getting one. On the other hand I LOVE piercings! I have 3 piercings on each ear lobe (the 3rd ones self done) , my nose (self done) and belly button (self done!). I'm planning on either a tongue or monroe piercing in a couple of years.

As far as tattoos that would just depend a lot on what the tattoo is and the placement. However, i think sleeves are dumb and just look overbearing. As far as piercings go i think labrets look good on guys (and no i am not gay). The only piercings i can't stand are genital piercings because they make me cringe and bullrings because they look dumb, I also think monroes look aweful to. I LOVE chicks that have bellybutton rings i think those are sexy as hell. I use to like eyebrow rings but i am kind of neutral on those at the moment. As far tounge rings, i am neutral on those too but, i have one friend that has her tounge pierced three times and i don't care for that. However, one of my friends had a vibrating tounge ring which i wouldn't of minded expierincing. The one other thing that i think look god aweful is the people that have the huge ear piercings. Those look tacky as hell

In my picture you can see my tat. It is located on my lower back and I absolutley love it. My husband is getting one on his arm this weekend. I think some tats are sexy ahile some look kind of trashy. I am not a fan of cartoon characters or gothic demonic stuff either. Thats just my opinion though. Lots of people like those kinds. I am getting my beely button pierced on Saturday and I am super excited. My hubby has no piercings. Tats and Piercings are sexy if they are in the right place!

I love tattoos and piercings, always have and always will. I find it rather irritating when people who you dont know tell you that theyre sick/look awful etc. At the end of the day its our body, not yours, if you find it offensive/dislike them dont look, simple as.
As far as preference goes, I like most but prefer the more uncommon piercings and tattoos that mean something to the wearer, rather than just done to "impress" others.
On myself I have my tongue stretched to 5mm (4ga) and most of my ears done:

although there are still a couple more I want doing there such as a daith, rook and conch. I also plan on a Reverse-Prince Albert shortly. Tattoos, I only have the one at the moment but have several in mind that I have yet to draw. I have a BME hockey logo on my right forearm, I chose that as I am a strong believer in body modification of all types, that most of these modifications that people do are a way of expressing yourself and they are with you for life.
As far as my preference goes on women, I am very open minded, so there isnt any that I will say I dislike. I do however like navel, and ear piercings as long as its not too crowded, also I do like to see tattoos.

I would say that in a very general sense, yes, men dislike feminists. As a man myself, I say that it depends. There is nothing wrong with a woman believing in the power within herself. the kind of feminists who I dislike are the ones who try to bring men down to make themselves equal instead of building women up. Basically I dislike people who breed hate for another group, no matter who that group is.

Personally, I love tattoos......on other people. The permanence is too scary for me to get one myself. I think back to the tatoo I wanted to get when I turnrd 18 and now 7 years later I am sooo glad that I didn't. Piercings are the way to go.

For guys : ear piercings are sexy (one in each lobe, not any more) and one cartilage is hot to. Tongue, lip, and eyebrow freak the hell out of me, i wouldn’t date someone with those. I don’t like any piercing below the head on guys. Tattoos on the back, arms, shoulders, and some small ones on the legs are sexy. Maybe the chest, it depends what it is. Anything more then that I don’t like. Its cool when your young, but what happens is 20 years?
For girls : Ears, nose, belly button, SOMETIMES tongue, depends on who it is and if they can pull it off. I forgot what this is called but the part above your lip in the skin; i like those on some people. Lip rings are gross, so is nipple.
I think tattoos can be sexy on girls, as long as they don’t go overboard. I don’t like sleeves.
