The AAPD recommends getting a new toothbrush every three or four months(kids or young ones). while one or two months for adults However, if the bristles become splayed, they no longer do the right cleaning job, so change sooner. Also, get a new brush after a cold or virus to avoid spreading those germs.

Best way to tell is if you buy an oral B toothbrush that has the indicators. I would say at least every two months, and immediately after you have taken a round of antibiotics.

Brushing your teeth is OVERRATED. I'm saying have your teeth pulled out, then get dentures. All you need to do with dentures is soak it at night in cleaning solution, not to mention the huge financial benefits of saving money on water, tooth brushes, tooth paste, dental visits, etc..plus if you are engaging in oral stimulation, your teeth will not get in the way.
