yes, I had a lady paint an old farmstead. It has been several years but it was $500.00 and the result was fantastic and it still adorns my living room wall. The farm was my family's.

Cost, quality and style will vary wildly from artist to artist.
Remember, some painters believe that urinating on a canvas is a masterpiece. Research the artist first!
Self-representing artist are plentiful on eBay.

No, I have not! But I have known people who did so: it is expensive, in most parts of the world! Results will please you, if you pay well and recruit the right kind of talent!
