For me this expression means that you have just let things happen. In other words you just let things occur the way you thought they should without stopping them or changing them.

Hope this makes sense.

This represents to me doing something you could possibly regret, and hope your choice of action turns out ok. EXAMPLE: "I told my boss that if I don't get that raise I deserve TOMORROW, I quit." So therefore, I've let the cards fall where they may. I believe this is a great example.

it could mean that you now know that you cant control everything thats happens in your life and after trying to u just life go on without trying to change the outcome to fit ur needs

kind of like they have stopped caring and you just let things happen and go with the flow without trying to make things happen or stop them

just basically, let things be, no further effort to change what is going to happen or what can happen. just sit back and watched as things may unravel.
