USB Drivers (With Extra Information)?

Okay, I have a USB Keyboard and Mouse but I think the driver has screwed up because when I load up windows I can't login because I can't use my USB mouse and keyboard. What things can I try? I have been using this Mouse and Keyboard for ages (about a year now). Anything else I can try?

I can't imagine what is happening. I have never installed drivers for the mouse or keyboard and I have just restored Windows XP. I just plug them in before starting the computer.
