They claim their frame geometry is better, and the reviews seem positive, but am I better off just going with Trek for a commuter bike?

Maybe I should have worded the question differently. I just want to know if Garry Fisher bikes are all hype, or if there really is any substance to their claims.

I just thing that different geometry is for different body geometry. I don't think that GF Genesys geometry works for everybody.

If you can test ride both a GF or a Trek or Specialized you can see how the fit you. On build quality, I would think they're the same as Trek (Trek owns Gary Fisher).

They are just claims. I like their geometry. It fits me nice. Just like all companies they make claims to make them look better. I ride a Trek 4900 however. My wife rides a Fisher Marlin.

Last I knew, Trek owns Gary Fisher. You can't go wrong with either brand.
