It does seem to be a self centered idea.
To create a race of beings in order to test them so that the few who are completely obedient to my word can obey me and worship me forever in peace while all the other souls scream and cry and burn forever under my wrath. It sort of makes god sound like a big angry child?
He is apparantly a very jealous god.

Genesis 1:
26 - And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. They shall rule the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, the cattle, the whole earth, and al the creeping things that creep on earth.
27- And God created man in His image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
28- God blessed them and God said to them, "Be fertile and increase, fill the earth and master it; and rule the fish of the sea , the birds of the sky, and all the living things that creep on earth.
This was done on the sixth day and there was and is nothing said about creating man for the purpose of "worshiping our creator"
Peace & Love,
Sam

God did not create us. We were genetically engineered by other biological beings with greater technological knowledge. As we grow we will go out into the universe and do the same thing on other planets and man will get to play God for awhile to a primitive species.

yes, we were created to worship and praise the Lord and he very much deserves it. i don't believe that we are lesser beings but we will be able one day to fellowship with Jesus and our father in heaven and there we can do the same. and the ? is if we can worship him on earth why not in heaven.

Why does a happily married couple feel the need to procreate and bring a screaming helpless, dependent infant into their house to keep them up at all hours of the night and drain their finances and energy?
Because life is too beautiful to keep it to yourself and not to share it with a little life :) God wanted to share the glorious experience of existence with us. And I'm glad he did.

Why would creation not worship the creator??
It is completely normal to worship your God..
I am thankful that He created me and that I can enjoy his creation. It is wonderful to be in His presence.

No,we were not created for that purpose only. We are here to help each other out. However, I believe that we are here for God's pleasure and purposes. This life is a gift, but that is not all there is.

Look at it this way if you had children....and you created their world and you loved, fed them, nurtured them gave them life..would you not want them to be aware of you.........as their creator....their Dad or Mum.........look around you at all the good things we have, so much to be thank-full for........as for worship....I don't believe God wants us to worship him, I believe God wants us to acknowledge him...........I am a spiritualist if you ask a Christian this Question they will most likely quote scripture...or say something they read in the bible..I am spirit......this is who I am......believe me in your heart of hearts you all-ready know this remember you are spirit please dispense with the labels of Christian etc.....this only limits us as spiritual beings......................
hope this helped in spirit Steve

You have it all wrong. We created the creator because we're too scared to worship each other. Doing so would mean recognizing the inherent worth and equality of all human beings, and we certainly can't have that!
