No....... and ........Yes. .......and no.........
and yes again ...........but no, not really.
If you are standing on a railroad track and a train is coming and you have no concept of what a train is or what a train does, what is going to happen to you if you do not get off the tracks?
Ignorance is death.

Not at all. (I can hardly believe some of the answers posted here). :OP
If anything, it is only "bliss" for a very, very short time.
If you don't understand how to manage your finances, the result certainly will not be bliss for you.
If you don't know how to keep your body healthy, it certainly will not be "bliss" for you when you come down with disease.
If you don't know when you're supposed to get an oil change on your car, you will probably wreck the engine and lose thousands of dollars.
Ignorance may provide momentary pleasures, but it will lead to long-term disaster.

Ignorance is truely bliss. If you knew nothing you could fear less. Example if you knew nothing of nuclear weapons, war, plague, famine, disease could those things bother you? A 5 year old does not walk around depressed, or feeling like the world is to much because they know very little. I sometimes wish i didn't know what i know so i could be happy more often. But knowing as much as i do fullfulls me so it is only a spur of the moment thought that i usually disreguard.

Definitely! Just ask a baby! So, just watch American Idol, spend your money on swiffers and chip dip, and don't try to learn stuff. If you decide to learn stuff, be really good at it so that you succeed, and make a good living, and find your calling in life! ( because ignorance is actually pretty boring if you ask me!)

Yup.
Those who don't understand a thing approach it with blindness and innocense. True enough, at the end, they may find themselves paying dearly for such ignorance, but during the act they have no suspicion that something bad is about to happen.

Absolutely, there's many people who are willfully ignorant because they don't have to think about anything
