It still smells like perm and now my hair is breaking and falling out after a couple of months.

go to the nearest good salon and have a professional address the problem....you are in dire need of some reconstructing treatments to rebuild the bonds in your hair. Maybe this will stop the breakage

Why would your friend or whosoever it is do such a thing to your hair?!?!?

I mean those are really strong chemical and should be washed out once it's enough... How about your scalp is it affected too? If it is, seek for professional advise, but if it is only your hair that is breaking off... Go to a hairstylist and get a haircut, a short one. Try to cut off all the damaged hair, and pamper your scalp with a intensive treatment...

Good Luck!

First, use a deep conditioner on it.
Then make an appointment with a hairdresser.
[ if they hadn't rinsed it out, it would ALL be gone by now. Also, you are not supposed to wash your hair for 48 hours after a perm. ]

And you didn't say anything, didn't question it? Your hair is damaged (and the roots might be in shock). Probably eventually it will grow back out but for a while, you are going to have to deal with bad hair. Make sure you eat healthy to help the hair follicles restore themselves, wash your hair gently, don't expose it to any more chemicals, cover it from too much sun.
