It is difficult for a homosexual to change but not impossible. I personally know of a hard core gay rights lesbian who changed and has been happily married now for about 13yrs and has 3 beautiful children. It really needs a supernateral intervention from God though.

No one knows exactly HOW God will heal a person of anything. The more important question is whether or not the person has faith that God CAN heal them! Once you excercise your faith and ask for God's help he WILL deliver you. Here's an encouraging scripture on faith:
Matthew 17:19-20 (New Living Translation)
19 Afterward the disciples asked Jesus privately, “Why couldn’t we cast out that demon?”
20 “You don’t have enough faith,” Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.”

If someone is living the homosexual lifestyle, and wants to change, for them it may just be a sexual compulsion or a sexual dysfunction... ( in no way do I think that homosexuality is a dysfunction by the way) instead of a true lifestyle. If they have issues because they feel wrong about it, I would suggest counseling. It could be that they are not really homosexual and just have a problem with hetero relationships...
example: A woman who has been raped and fears men,,,may have a relationship with another woman because she is afraid to get close to a man...she may feel guilty about being with a woman because it does not feel right to her...
Can God heal this person?
If they are religious, they can seek prayer or talk to a pastor, or other women in the church for help or guidance.
In a way God could work through a friend or counselor to help heal...or rather help them to seek help to help themselves even if they are not religious..after all I do believe God works in mysterious ways.
hope that helped a bit :)

First of all the Bible says that homosexuality is a sin, not something to be healed of such as a sickness. And secondly, God does NOT put a hierarchy on our sins...in His eyes they are ALL SIN. All you have to do is ask Him to forgive you for this sin and ask for Him to give you strength to stand firm when the devil brings temptation to join into that sin again...and it will come. But KNOW that God wants you to be free and will provide a way if you really want His help. Jesus Christ died for the forgiveness of all our sins, so know that this is a free gift and all you have to do is accept it. Be blessed and I hope that this answer isn't what you consider a Bible thumper answer...it's just the truth =)

Don't give us rules to answer your questions by. Not all Christians are mindless ramblers. The bible and what it teaches is the biggest influence in my life, so what else would I tell you? My answers are always genuine.
God is faithful and just to forgive all who come to him.
1st John 1:9---
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

God would simply take their desire of the same sex away. I have a friend who knew a guy who was freed from it. His desire changed. its that simple.

Well just trust him and he will help you but you have to change your surroundings or you can get sucked back in. Then once your out don't look back on your past. PLus if you pray for help just don't ask act upon what you say don't exspect him to do it all. I hope I helped in some way.

GOD can do anything GOD wants to and if a person really wants to change, it's possible. What is GOd's plan for hermaphrodites though? There are six distinct sexual orientations, and that is genetic, not social. What is GOD's plan for asexuals? Before I would ask GOD to change me, I would want to begin by asking what GOD's plan is for my life. Not my denomination's plan, but GOD'S. this is not a very popular view and I would probably be condemned in many denominations, but if they don't know better than to condemn me, they have a lot more to learn about GOd's will than any homosexual.

If you really believe God is real and can heal you, and you really want to be "healed", then you are already healed. Just thank God for healing you and get on with your life.

I've honestly never heard of anyone truly wanting to be "freed" from being gay. That would be like a straight person wanting to be "freed" from being straight. They are probably giving into either biblical or familial pressure to conform.
