Do you really care what other people think? Perhaps it's time to move on or maybe in the future things will work out but worrying about what others think about how you or your situation looks would be pathetic. Be your own person and think for yourself. Perception is individual and most of the time unwanted so look at yourself in the mirror and ask yourself if you look pathetic. If you really care about her no amount of time waiting would be a waste. And if it truly begins to look like she isn't interested in you than you need to come to terms with that and move on.
I hope I am answering the question I think you are asking. People are fickle. Never put stock in their perceptions.

No.
that happened to me a year ago. I had an amazing
boyfriend, and then this other AMAZING guy told
me he liked me but then i realized that i loved
my boyfriend so i stayed with him. that other amazing
guy is still single (after a year) and that doesn't
mean he's pathetic. Now i'm single and i'm the
pathetic one for not realizing how awesome he was.
She'll feel the same way. :p you are not pathetic,
you just need to go out and meet some people who
are worth it and who have the same interests as you.

There is nothing pathetic about expressing your feelings. Sometimes those feelings are not returned. If that is the case, then obsessing about it will only lead you down the path of despair. There is, of course, a difference between letting someone know that you like them and calling them three times a day to cry about how much you need them. The former is an expression of desire, the latter is obsessive and pathetic. You need to move on, and see if she follows you. If not, then you have already moved on, which is healthier for you.

Yes you are pathetic. Sorry to put it so bluntly, but no self-respecting man should wait around for a woman to get with you. You will die a lonely old man this way. It is obvious that she doesn't like you that way. Move on and find another who will want to be with you. Stop living in the and of wishful thinking that she will leave who she is with and be with you.

Oh, so you did tell her you liked her. Oh, um, just forget that little bit in my answer to the moving away question. Ha ha.

Ok, back to question. I don't think you're TOTALLY pathetic. You're waiting for a girl that you think is perfect for you. That seems sweet and fair. But, I don't think it would completely kill you to see other people. She might seem the most perfect girl for you and who knows, maybe she is. But, you're not ever going to be totally sure if you never see anybody else.

Not as pathetic as you look asking the internet if you look pathetic. It's been six months; if the thought was in her head to take you up on the offer, she would have. Sorry. *hug*

No your not pathetic, and she will only think that if she was a nasty *****. Dont worry, you'll find someone great and then she will be doing the wondering.

well if your still waiting around I guess your a little bit pathetic, it's not your fault if you didnt' find someone though, so dont' be so harsh on yourself.. and just move on, and forget about her.

no! you put it out there and it just didn't happen! don't be so hard on yourself, just because she is w/ a guy doesn't mean you won't find someone 100x better than her! good luck and remember that being rejected is just a part of life, move on and meet some new people.

I had the same problem.
you have to get over her, you can't make someone love you. she already knows how you feel. Be a good friend when she needs you. it may keep the window of opportunity open.
