I'm just curious cause someone just told me that lust of any kind is a sin. Lust is sexual desire. I would HOPE you lust after your own spouse or else your relationship could be a dud.

No, it would not be considered lust to want your spouse. Read the book of Song of Solomon (in the bible). If that isn't a steamy romance, then I don't know what is. Passion between spouses should be the best there is.
You can not lust over something that is rightfully yours.
1 Corinthians 7:3-7 says;

3 The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. 4 The wife's body does not belong to her alone but also to her husband. In the same way, the husband's body does not belong to him alone but also to his wife. 5 Do not deprive each other except by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control. 6I say this as a concession, not as a command. 7 I wish that all men were as I am. But each man has his own gift from God; one has this gift, another has that.

Lust is far more than sexual desire. Lust is the overwhelming desire to have whatever it is you want right now. One can lust for a certain piece of clothing or money or just about anything.

I don’t believe it is a sin to lust for your spouse because the feelings are contained within a very sacred bond. We only strengthen the bond through our desire for one another.

It depends. Sexual desire for someone without love is a sin...yes. That is lust. However, when you love someone, it is only natural that you will have sexual desire. If you did not...well, as you said...it would be a dud. I would hope you love and respect your spouse and honestly want things to be good for both of you. God gives people to one another in marriage and your sexual desire for one another is what he intended.

I would consider being attracted and lusting the same difference. So no, it's not a sin to lust after your own spouse.

If not your own spouse, than who? Lust is natural and hopefully you will still be attracted to him/her for a long time. Try to keep it for as long as you can because we tend to take each other for granted as time passes.

No, its perfectly okay to "lust" after your spouse ... or at least I hope it is. Otherwise, I'd be in big trouble. *lol*

Seriously, I think as long as you don't allow your sexual desires to overtake your life and come before your commitment to God, you're good.

The scripture reads, anyone who looks at a women lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

Adultery is with another women that is not your spouse.

We are to look favorably upon our spouse, I would call this having great favor.

The marriage bed is not defiled with thoughts or how else would it work in the act of God's great gift to married people.

lust is not a sin as long as you love the whole person in the context of marriage. God wants us to love the individual and not just their body or what pleasure they can give us.

The Bible states that you and Your spouse are now one flesh...It is not sin....

It would be wrong for me to lust after your spouse....Plus I am a male....
