I think they will since people have discovered then, as today that the have not thoughts whatever on the subject. The significance of Jesus is nothing, he had all of eternity to think about it so what is the big deal, get over it already

Worldwide Christians are 2.1 billion and about 1.3 billion Muslim

Christians will become a minority in in Canada about 2023 and in the U.S. about the year 2042.

So your question is not a stupid one, and in fact some experts say it may perish in the future but its all up to us, we are the ones who control this. And religions like Islam growing at 2.9% and countries like Brazil loosing about 30% of christians to religions such as protestan and islam its a scary thing to think this may be true in the future. GOOD QUESTION hope this helps

Wow . . . is there a coherent syntax in there somewhere struggling to get out? No matter . . . the Greek Gods are alive and well and very much with us today . . . as is their worship:

Christianity's going through a bit of a rough patch here in the US lately, what with all the fundamentalism and zealotry and unrealistic social demands and bids for theocracy and intolerance and what have you. There are some lovely truths buried under all that crap, though, and while I *personally* feel they're Middle Eastern truths, and a bad fit for Northern Europeans and their descendants, the simple fact is . . . many good and loving people derive solace from them.

Give 'em time. They may yet outgrow the tantrums.

Hmmm, considering that there are people that worship Greek pantheons perhaps maybe you should rethink your question... If there is no truth or Christianity is meaningless then it will perish. As long as there is a imagination towards Jesus it will always be there or any Deity for that matter.

Jesus of Nazareth made more of an impact on people than you or I could ever do. 2000 years and he's still on the conversation charts? To make my point what was your name? hmmm... Who was it that sought to put an end to his sayings? hmmm... Who is the head of the Greek pantheon? Zeus right? now who is in danger of perishing? if you have any reason in you you will get it... this question is faulty...

Christianity has been around for a long time. It won't die because when we choose to follow Jesus he lives within us. Our vody will die, but our soul will never die. Jesus is everything to me, he validates God'd word, when you start looking for "validation" in the word. I have given much thought on Jesus and have tried several religions including "none". I have never felt whole as I do now, I am complete. The inner truth is harder to explain but impossible to ignore once found. I am not the typical christian who preaches to everyone, condemns, thinks you must read 3 chapters of the bible a day or thinks I do not sin. I share my faith and love, I never(I try) judge, I think there are other ways to learn about God and Jesus than reading the bible-this is good- but you need prayer, thought, life experiences! I cannot get over what Jesus has done for me, and I cannot forget it or ignore it either!

I know alot of people don't like talking about this. But I doubt it. First, there were only a few greeks....there are 2 billion christians, and 1 billion muslims. Half of the world believes in God.

also, personally, I believe we are soon to be in the end of days. Not enough time for everyone to lose faith.

*This is a reply to voice_of_reason if religions that are conservative and resist change will die. How do you explain the Roman Catholic Church staying the same(until 1960's) and it is still around. And is the world largest religion with 1 billion members alone?

i could be mad too. i'm with you on that one. it is not your instructor's place to assert which Gods are and are not authentic-- that may no longer what he's paid to do. And it is not your friends' place to commence preaching to the class. Yeah, human beings nevertheless have self assurance in the Roman and Greek Gods. Pagans, we call them. Pagan is form of a vast term for all of us who isn't in an Abrahamic faith and believes in better than one God, i assume you are able to desire to assert. diverse Pagans pay tribute to diverse Gods-- some shop on with the Roman deities, others the Mayan or Incan ones, others the Egyptian ones. relies upon on the Pagan.

I believe that as time passes...

New scientific discoveries will open people's eyes to things that they might have otherwise attributed to God,

but there are always people who will fight tooth and nail to hang onto something that really does not make a lot of sense. I do believe you do have to have faith in something, but to blindly follow without picking up a book besides the Bible is truly ignorance.

I'm going to have to disagree. Christianity is like no other religion before it in that Jesus died for everyone to save them. No other figure real or fictional had done that before him. His message was pretty much a record breaker. And the fact that the subject of Jesus stirs up so many strong feelings in people just proves that.

I am not going into a long debate on this one..I will merely say that the greeks really didn't have a definite system of gods...infact they worshiped not only their own gods but gods from different lands and cultures..

including a God who could not be named..

with that many gods ..no wonder the gods seemed to vanish/be forgotten.

and ofcourse it didnt' help that rome conquered the greeks and changed all of their gods names

Christianity is destined to dissipate in influence in the world as it keeps on imploding on itself with over 36,000 different tribes all squabbling with each other.--it is indeed a "house divided".
