Did you know about Muslims...?

I've been in college in the early 80s in Quebec City, where I made friends Muslims, then moved to Montreal and in University there met and befriended other Muslims and so I can speak of personal experience when I tell you they are realy great people. They knew my beliefs and we respected each other, teaching (or learning) from the other's beliefs.

The regular, normal Muslim is a loving God fearing person, with respect for one another. We must stop thinking that all Muslims are all radical fanatics like those we hear about on the headline news. Those are not representative of a real Muslim at all. No more than if a Christian went into a temple of evil religion/belief with a dynamite belt and blew himself up, would that Christian represent all Christians.

And if all people who believed in what ever they believed were as honnest and thorough as some Muslims I met (with respect for others) religion wouldn't be a scary place for many who fear it.

I see your point but I believe your questions are unfair.Islam doesn't teach to kill but like us they have many parts in their Quran and many of the historic events were about killing,(that's what the fanatics use) but if one reads it all it is about love and respect.

If we read the Bible, (and I do everyday) in the Old Testament. How many people did God sent the Jews to totally destroy, women and children too. Those people were enemy to God but Jesus has accomplished the Law and Justice of God and now we are tought to love, forgive, respect. Imagine if people judged christians by the OT...?

Yes you are quite right dear.Most muslims around the world a re honest,trustful,intimate,respectful,no conceit,loveful,helpful
,care to other .The radical muslim is only a very few people who practice the islamic teaching in a short sighted way.In our holy Quran Surah 112 Al Ikhlash God spoke He is Allah the only one God.Allah to whom everyone depend on Him He has no son and no paretns and no other God than Allah.In Surah 109 Al Kaafiruun,Allah stated that we should say to kafir(unbelievers/heathens) that we muslims will not worship to what unbelievers worshipping.and they (unbelievers) are not the worshippers of what we worship and we will never be the worshippers of what you worship and you will not be the worshipper of what we worship.For you your religion and for us our religion..So all muslims should do a good tolerance to other religion's believers.What ever your religion are,we are brothers and sisters as descendants of Adam and Eve.All babies are born sinless like a white paper.The baby will be muslim or christian or any other religion follower is made by his/her parents and his/her environment if he/she has grown up..Thank you for your right conclusion of muslim and Islam.

Salam :) i'm a Muslim teenager residing in Canada. I positioned on hijab alhamdullilah and it is for the main section common right here on account that i stay in a great city with a large Muslim inhabitants. I do get the few ignorant comments and idiots at college although who ask stuff like "yo have been given a bomb below there hahaha". however the toughest section is being distinctive out of your human beings. Being a Muslim, events, alcohol dating boys donning revealing clothing and so on is haram, and at the same time as i do no longer desire to try this besides, it is a splash awkward to ought to describe why i do no longer do it to those who evaluate it in elementary terms a factor of being a teenager and its basic to them. Muslims residing in Muslim countries truthfully have it much less annoying whilst it includes installation in. And with nutrition it is a splash frustrating yet I constantly attempt to study the label if i'm uncertain of the aspects. yet i does not wanna be the different faith no count how complicated it gets and how distinctive i've got self belief from anybody else, i'm happy to be Muslim :)

I have also known many Muslims throughout my life, and I agree with you. The Muslims I know now say that the killers aren't Muslim at all, because they do the opposite of what their religion preaches.

Reminds me of those who think that Phelps represents Christianity. Yuck.

Yes, there are good and bad Muslims too. The worst is when the bad ones are at the helm of higher authorities. They are irrational, manipulate the Quranic verses as they wish and get their followers to think that the religion is demanding their objectives. All at the stake of many other good Muslims.

there are good and bad people in all religions. luckily the bad are most often few and far between. it's never ok to judge an entire group of people by just a few of them.

But i assure you...im a pretty average girl. who just so happens to be Muslim..

There are good and bad people of every religion. It saddens me that somebody can take what one person of a certain faith does and translate it into ALL people of the faith think/act that way.

I agree with you. Most people are honest and caring. And whatever label we place on someone, atheist, Christian, Jewish, Islamic, it doesn't tell us whether that person is a decent, good person.
