Properly educated and able politicians should hold positions in the governments...
As long as criminals, jokers and rustics dominate the decision making bodies, this deadlock will continue...

We have been dumbing down primary education in America for decades. We have also been devaluing college degrees. Years ago a liberal arts degree guaranteed a well rounded employee with many useful skills. Now it is a joke.
Part of the problem is the passing on ill equipped students to college who must spend time teaching them remedial skills they are supposed to already posses.
Part of it is the backlash of liberal student grants and loans which allow more and more people to attend college. The more people that have a degree the less the degree is worth.
Just a fact of life. The smartest students know how to succeed anyway. For instance, if you can get two years of college under your belt and manage to get hired by a company that will pay for your college degree you will do much better. You are already earning money, your tuition is free and you are building up seniority and experience.

There will always be an opportunity for educated millions. Only jobs is the not the solution - self employment, overseas employment are some avenues and if properly nurtured, these milllions can contribute billions to our economy. Just that they lack the opportunity - as of now

I think education is being equated in India totally with degrees and office jobs.Education should mean literacy first and foremost.A farmer is gainfully employed in India but he need not be illiterate. We need to provide good basic education that first focusses on reading, writing and basic numeracy. Then we can also move to voactional education.Maybe we should have two streams......one the higher academic variety and the other that makes our masses literate and therefore more aware of the world they live in,less exploitable and more able to make use of the tech revolution that is sweeping te world.

If you talk about India, then the things to do is to destroyed your cast system that polarized your society. But everything depend on the speed of your reforms... If you wait 25 years, then the Himalaya mountains will have half melt and your rivers would not be enough to supply your need, so you will get into more troubles sooner or later...
Good luck..
If you talk about the US, then they just want to accept 12 more millions that can't speak english... What the F....! Our politicians are shortsighted in this field at least.

The problem is those who have controls over resources for creating jobs or creating avenues or creating vocations are people who are lost in self benefits.
A businessman is for obvious reasons interested in making more and faster.
A bureaucrat is mostly lost in family and self benefits.
A politician is lost in making promises..........
and the best part all above can get away doing what they want, thefore policy making is done in air conditioned offices without an iota of knowledge on ground realities as that involves toil, sweat and hardwork which very miniscule are prepared to input. Most above send their wards out of India therfore least bothered to improve education standards in India.

Half of unemployed educated should educate the uneduca-
ted at reasonable remuneration(atlease something is better
than nothing). Before going for any stream/branch education,
one should evaluate its consistency for job opportunities
by the time,he/she completes the education.

Basic aim of education for all is not employment, but to make them literate so that they can read, write, think and contribute to their own and countries wellfare. Employment is the next objective created from the demand to survive.

Spending money on "education" does not necessarily produce educated people.
Mostly, it means that people otherwise unqualified to do anything get to talk to our kids all day, and gripe about their crummy pay (for lousy product) to each other.
