Poison Oak can be nasty. If you go back to where the poison oak is, there is usually a plant growing near it that is an antidote. The plant is called Jewel's Weed. It has a glassy stalk and has a odd shaped leaf. Look it up on the net so you'll know what it looks like. What you do with this weed is crush the stalk and squeeze out the gel like sap that's inside. Rub it on the place where the poison oak touched you. It neutralizes the venom of the poison oak. This works when you do this right away though. If the poison has been in the skin for a while, you might have to leave the sap of the jewels weed there for a while. Hope this helps. I don't know if Aloe Vera will neutralize the poison but it will sooth the itch. You can get Aloe Vera lotions and saps from the health stores.

Well try to get something you can spray or dab on with cotton ball because if the blisters weep and you scratch the rash will be spread to other areas, such as face and eyes. To help dry it up use calamine lotion or white shoe polish.. There are sprays for poison oak, sumac, and ivy, which is what I would use instead of something you must rub on again avoiding spreading the rash. Get some benadryl and good luck...
